Students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) have once again brought honor to the university, this time through an international sports competition. The 27th Biennial Intervarsity Games (BIG) which was held on 14-22 July 2018 at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In this biggest sporting event in Asia Pacific, the University of Indonesia sent 75 students who excelled in the field of sports and 7 of them were FMIPA UI students.
And here are the FMIPA UI students with a series of achievements that they have successfully achieved in the event The 27thBiennial Intervarsity Games (BIG).
- Israq Sajid Adli (Geoscience 2016), a member of the UI Basketball Team, won 3rd place in Men’s Basketball.
- Renaldi Antoni H (Physics 2014) won 2nd place in Table Tennis.
- Dimas Nugraha (Chemistry 2013) won 2nd place in Table Tennis.
- Mirza Zalfandy (Geography 2016), a member of the UI Football Team, won 2nd place in Football.
- Jefri Adrian (Physics 2014), a member of the UI Football Team, won 2nd place in Football.
- Regina Nadia (Physics 2017) won 1st place in the 4x100m Relay, 2nd place in the 400m Run, 3rd place in the 200m Run, and 3rd place in the 4x400m Run.
- Hamzah Nurwarid (Chemistry 2013) won 3rd place in the 1500m Marathon.
