Research Interest
Aminah’s research interests lie in the area of developing a new synthesis method to obtain monodisperse noble metal nanoparticles with various shapes and sizes and their utilization for a number of important applications, such as catalyst, sensing, and optics.
Short Biography

Aminah earned her master degree and Ph.D. at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, under supervision of Prof. Sung-Min Choi. Throughout her master studies, she worked on the synthesis of oppositely charged one dimensional gold nanoparticles and investigated their aggregation behavior.
During her Ph.D. studies, she developed a new synthesis method to obtain various shapes of monodisperse polyhedral gold nanoparticles with tunable sizes, such as cubes, octahedra, cuboctahedra, rhombic dodecahedra, and plate/prism.
