To commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Indonesia (UI) held a virtual event titled “Resilient, Growing, Independent.” During the event, the faculty officially launched a new, more user-friendly, comprehensive, and modern website, embracing the concept of “Clean, Clear, and Compact.”
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UI website now features several developments and feature updates in line with the university’s overarching theme of becoming a leading science faculty globally. Furthermore, the website revitalization aims to make it easier and faster for users to find the latest information on FMIPA UI through news, social media pages, and event schedules.
Acting Dean of FMIPA UI Dr. Rokhmatuloh, M.Eng. stated that in addition to improving performance to be better and more user-friendly, the revitalization of the FMIPA UI website was carried out as one of the efforts in implementing the Independent Campus (MBKM) policy at FMIPA UI.
“The FMIPA UI website is a shared virtual home for the academic community, alumni, users, partners, and stakeholders, containing various information on the FMIPA UI environment. After improving the previous website’s appearance, we deemed it necessary to emphasize several features, particularly those that reflect current developments. We hope this new look for FMIPA UI’s information platform will increase synergy, pride, and…ense of belonging for the academic community, residents, and alumni, as well as strengthening FMIPA UI’s engagement with external parties,” said Dr. Rokhmatuloh.
Further explanation about the content, features, and segmentation on the new FMIPA UI website was delivered by the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Dr. Yoki Yulizar, M. Sc. In his presentation, he said that the revitalization of the FMIPA UI website is a form of innovation to bring FMIPA UI to competition in the digital era in presenting content both visually, segmentation arrangement, and variety of information.
The updated interface has been adapted to reflect changing user behavior. He hopes the new look will make information dissemination faster and easier across multiple devices.
In addition to the presentation on the Revitalization of Learning, Research, and Information Facilities by the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, this event also included a podcast broadcast with Dr. Techn. Djoko Triyono, M. Si. as the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs with the theme “Freedom to Learn, How Independent is That?”, and also present Prof. Dr. Terry Mart, professor of physics, discussing “Science is fun and brings change to the world”.
In addition to being held virtually through the Zoom Meeting platform for the academic community and residents of FMIPA UI, this event, which was enlivened with various interactive games, was also broadcast live through the FMIPA UI YouTube channel.
