Depok, April 24, 2026 — The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Si., conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) of the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) at FMIPA UI on Friday, April 24, 2026. During the visit, the dean directly observed participants’ activities in several examination rooms.
Based on on-site observations, the implementation of the UTBK at FMIPA UI proceeded in an orderly and conducive manner. Participants were seen following all stages of the examination with discipline, from the registration process to the test session in the computer rooms.
“The implementation of the UTBK at FMIPA UI today has proceeded in an orderly and conducive manner. We observed that participants were able to follow all stages of the examination well and with discipline,” said Prof. Tito to the FMIPA UI Public Relations team.
The Dean also expressed appreciation for the performance of the FMIPA UI UTBK organizing team, which was considered to have managed the computer-based examination system optimally. The readiness of infrastructure, systems, and effective supervision were key factors in ensuring the smooth implementation of the exam.
“The key to a smooth examination lies in the readiness of the team and the quality of service provided to participants. We ensure that all aspects, from infrastructure to the comfort of the environment, are maintained optimally,” he added.
In addition, the dean emphasized the importance of providing maximum service to participants. All team members were reminded to consistently ensure safety and comfort within the examination environment, including maintaining the cleanliness of exam rooms, transit areas, prayer rooms, healthcare facilities, and supporting facilities such as restrooms.
Work discipline was also a primary focus, with all team members arriving 90 minutes before the exam began to ensure that the entire process—from powering on the examination equipment, activating the exam application, participant registration, document verification, and heightened security measures, to the execution of the test—ran smoothly.
“We also observed that the team has been highly disciplined, arriving 90 minutes early to coordinate and prepare everything properly,” he added.
The Dean also expressed hope that the UTBK implementation would continue to run smoothly until the end. He advised all members of the organizing team to maintain strong coordination and to take care of their health throughout their duties.
On that occasion, the dean added that FMIPA UI has consistently been entrusted as one of the UTBK test centers within Universitas Indonesia for eight consecutive years since 2019.
The UTBK implementation at FMIPA UI is scheduled to take place from April 21 to May 2, 2026, and is held across two main buildings—the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building and the Department of Geography—both of which are equipped with computer laboratory facilities to support the digital-based examination.
This inspection was part of FMIPA UI leadership’s efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the UTBK implementation, while also providing direct support to the organizing team on the ground.
