Dr. Emil Budianto, a teaching staff member of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, and Director of the School of Environmental Sciences (SIL) at UI, has passed away.
.
Based on the information we received, the deceased passed away at RSCM Kencana, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 08.10 WIB at the age of 60 years.
.
The funeral address is Jl. Masjid Condet No. 25C, Batu Ampar, East Jakarta. The deceased is scheduled to be buried at Karet Bivak Public Cemetery in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, after midday prayers.

The FMIPA UI extended family also mourns the passing of the deceased. May Allah SWT forgive his mistakes, and place him in the best place. For the families left behind, hopefully they will be given courage, sincerity and strength. Amen YRA.

Profil Dr. Emil Budianto
Dr. Emil Budianto is an expert in Organic Chemistry and Polymers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia. With a background in chemistry, he was once entrusted to serve as Head of the Research and Development Operational Management Agency at the Center for Environmental Impact Management Facilities by the Head of the Environmental Impact Management Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Panangian Siregar, on July 6, 1992.

Throughout his career at the University of Indonesia, in addition to carrying out his duties and functions as a teaching staff, this man who was born in Jakarta on March 20, 1960, has also held important positions in the highest organizational structure at the Faculty level.

Starting in 2004, precisely on April 8, 2004, he was officially inaugurated as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of FMIPA UI for the 2004-2008 period by Prof. Dr. Usman Chatib Warsa, SMK, PD, the Rector of UI at that time.

Despite his background as a pure science lecturer and researcher, his ability to lead student organizations is also unquestionable. This was proven by his appointment as Head of the New Student Admissions Office (PMB) by the UI Chancellor in 2008. His tenure as head of the UI PMB office continued for two consecutive terms.

Not stopping there, the leadership steps of the graduate of the TU Braunschweig Germany doctoral study program continued to the highest structural position in the School of Environmental Sciences (SIL) UI. Dr. Emil was officially elected as the first director of the School of Environmental Sciences (SIL) UI for the 2016-2020 period, after the nomenclature of the UI Multidisciplinary Postgraduate Program (PPM) definitively changed into two schools, namely the School of Environmental Sciences (SIL), and the School of Global Strategic Studies (SKSG) UI on July 1, 2016.

He was selected as the best through the selection process for SIL UI leadership candidates along with three other candidates on Tuesday, December 27 2016.
