Jakarta, Thursday (1/3) FMIPA UI held an audience with the Ministry of Tourism at the Sapta Pesona Building. The arrival of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI delegation led by the Dean of FMIPA UI Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris was warmly welcomed by the Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya who was accompanied by the Assistant Deputy for Human Resources Development & Inter-Institutional Relations, Wisnu Bawa Tarunajaya, Assistant Deputy for Natural & Artificial Tourism Development, Alexander Reyaan, and Special Staff for IT, Sam Sriyono.
The meeting discussed a report on the concept of monitoring foreign and domestic tourists in Indonesia. The hearing was a follow-up tothe Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) between the Ministry of Tourism and the University of Indonesia. After listening to the UI presentation, participants proceeded tothe War Roomto review the Ministry of Tourism’s monitoring system.
In the collaboration, the Minister of Tourism offered to complement or study existing systems, provided they meet the key requirements ofthe world’s bestbenchmark standards. The meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and a group photo.
