FMIPA UI Holds Pre-Graduation Ceremony for Odd Semester of Academic Year 2022/2023

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), held the Pre-Graduation Ceremony for the Odd Semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year on Thursday morning (March 9) at the Sinarmas Hall, Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building FMIPA UI – PT Pertamina, UI Campus, Depok.

A total of 389 graduates attended the event, which was led by Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., Dean of FMIPA UI. The graduates consisted of 331 bachelor’s degree graduates, 47 master’s degree graduates, and 11 doctoral degree graduates. Each of them had the opportunity to come up on stage to receive congratulations and take a photo with the Dean.

The Pre-Graduation Ceremony is part of a series of events leading up to the UI Graduation Ceremony, which will be held at the UI Balairung on Friday (March 10) and Saturday (March 11). This Pre-Graduation event also serves as a replacement for the rehearsal session, which in previous years was conducted at the Balairung, UI Campus, Depok.

“I would like to congratulate all the graduates from the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs on their success in completing their studies at FMIPA UI,” said Dean Dede as he began his speech.

Although this time the rehearsal is being conducted at each faculty through the Pre-Graduation event, the Dean hopes that this important moment for the graduates still brings a sense of joy and pride in their alma mater.

“Hopefully, this moment still brings you happiness and pride in becoming a graduate of FMIPA UI,” he said.

Furthermore, the Dean advised the graduates to continue developing their potential, uphold the good name of their alma mater, and maintain integrity as members of the FMIPA UI family in contributing to the nation of Indonesia.

“As alumni of FMIPA UI, you are certainly expected to contribute to the nation and the country, so be resilient, progressive, and adaptive individuals,” added Dean Dede.

In addition to taking individual photos with the Dean, the graduates also had the opportunity to take group photos with the board of professors, fellow students from their study program, their program heads, and department heads.
