Depok, May 20, 2026 — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) held a Socialization of Technical Instructions (Juknis) for the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 39 of 2026 concerning academic positions for lecturers together with the Directorate of Human Resources and Talent Development (DSDMPT) UI. The activity took place at the Prof. Dr. G.A. Siwabessy Hall, FMIPA UI on Monday (11/5).
The activity was opened by the Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., together with the Director of Human Resources and Talent Development UI, Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Arif Budiyanto, S.T., M.T., IPM. Also present at the activity were the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, Prof. Anom Bowolaksono, Ph.D.; Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Dr. Ivandini Tribidasari Anggraningrum, S.Si., M.Si.; HR Manager, Dr. Budhy Kurniawan R., M.Si.; Assistant HR Manager; and lecturers in the FMIPA UI environment.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., stated that the outreach was crucial in supporting lecturers’ understanding of the latest regulations regarding academic promotions.
“We hope this activity can provide a clearer understanding to FMIPA UI lecturers regarding the procedures, requirements, and mechanisms for academic promotion according to the latest regulations,” said Prof. Tito.
Meanwhile, Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Arif Budiyanto, S.T., M.T., IPM. emphasized the importance of a shared perception between universities and faculties in implementing Ministerial Decree No. 39 of 2026.
“Through this outreach, we want to ensure that all lecturers receive accurate and up-to-date information regarding the academic promotion process,” said Arif.

The socialization material was delivered by Agus Anang, S.Kom., M.T.I., CHRS, CertDA., CHRM., as the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Human Resources Career Development Services of DSDMPT UI and Faisal Ali Ramdhani, S.K.M., CPS., as the Head of the Functional Career Section of Lecturers of DSDMPT UI. The material presented includes the mechanism for calculating credit points for lecturers’ academic promotions, administrative requirements, and additional provisions in the promotion process from Assistant Expert to Lecturer, Lecturer to Associate Lecturer, and Associate Lecturer to Professor.
“We hope this outreach can help lecturers understand the mechanism for academic promotion according to the latest regulations more clearly and comprehensively,” said Agus Anang, S.Kom., M.T.I., CHRS, CertDA., CHRM.
Agus also highlighted the importance of administrative readiness in the process of applying for academic positions for lecturers.
“Adjustments to the administration and supporting documents in Ministerial Decree No. 39 of 2026 need to be thoroughly understood so that the academic position application process can run more effectively and in accordance with regulations,” he said.
In addition, the resource person also explained the adjustments to administrative provisions and supporting documents required in the process of applying for academic positions for lecturers according to the latest regulations.

The event continued with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session. The FMIPA UI lecturers took the opportunity to consult directly regarding technical issues, the application process, and the implementation of Ministerial Decree No. 39 of 2026 concerning lecturer academic promotions.
As part of the series of activities, the DSDMPT UI team also visited several departments within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UI. These visits aimed to strengthen coordination, understand the needs and challenges faced by each department, and build more effective communication to support career development and human resource management within the faculty.
Through this socialization activity, FMIPA UI hopes that lecturers can understand the procedures and requirements for academic positions better, comprehensively, and in line with the latest regulations so that the process of developing academic careers within the FMIPA UI environment can run more optimally.
