Monday (20/3/2023). In order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), held a Tarhib Ramadan event at the Sinarmas Hall, Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building, FMIPA UI – PT Pertamina (Persero), UI Campus, Depok.
The event began at 10:00 AM WIB and was opened with a recitation of the holy verses of the Qur’an by Raihan Khanz Pidia Suryana (Geography 2022).
In addition to being attended by the faculty and department leadership, administrative staff, lecturers, and students within FMIPA UI, the event also invited Ust. Achmad Solechan, S.Si., M.Si., the Chairperson of the UI Mosque Committee, to deliver a sermon.
Dean of FMIPA UI, Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., in his speech invited all leadership members, academic community, and FMIPA UI residents to welcome the holy month with joy while expressing gratitude to Allah SWT, because by His blessings and grace, the large family of FMIPA UI can once again gather face-to-face in the Ramadan welcoming event and be reunited with the holy and noble month in 2023.
“Ramadan is right before our eyes, Ramadan has entered our hearts to become a noble and honored guest until Eid al-Fitr later. Insha Allah,” said the Dean.
“The extraordinary blessing if we can all be granted it during the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 H. Therefore, it is only fitting that we always be grateful for the blessing of health,” he added.
He emphasized to the leadership and the entire FMIPA UI family to maintain a balance between worship, work, and study activities.
“We sincerely hope that all levels of leadership, both in the Faculty and Departments, as well as the lecturers, staff, and students, will remain enthusiastic and continue to balance worship and work, worship and study throughout the upcoming Ramadan,” said the Dean in front of the FMIPA UI family.
The event then continued with a sermon delivered by Ust. Achmad Solechan, S.Si., M.Si., and concluded with a gathering of the entire FMIPA UI family, exchanging handshakes and seeking forgiveness from one another.
