SNKAI or the National Seminar on Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation for Indonesian Chemical Society (ICS) was first held in 2012. This event was conducted in collaboration with Lab Indonesia and took place at The Jakarta Convention Center. The actual event is believed to be the largest laboratory equipment exhibition began in two years earlier (2010). The seminar and the exhibition are simultaneously held every two years. The ICS Central Board gave a mandate to the ICS Jakarta Branch for the implementation of the Seminar, after the signing of the MoU of collaboration between ICS and PT Lab Indonesia. For the organizing this event, ICS Jakarta Branch includes some education and research institutions located in JABODETABEK such as Universitas Indonesia (UI), AKA Bogor, LIPI, UIN and UNJ. The formation of The Division of Analytical Chemistry as ICS body was formed at the first SNKAI in 2012 and Prof. Dr. Edison Munaf (deceased) was elected for The Division Chairman at the 2 nd SNKAI in 2014. The chairman with coordination with the ICS Jakarta Branch are responsible for the next seminar agenda. After two implementations, SNKAI-2012 and SNKAI-2014, in 2016 the seminar changed its name to Indonesian Conference on Chemical Analysis and Instrumentation (ICCAI), which remains in collaboration with Lab Indonesia. In 2018, ICCAI in conjuction with Asianalysis XIV was held in Jakarta in which IPB University joined the organizing commitee and still in collaboration with Lab Indonesia. ICCAI 2020 terkendala adanya pandemic Covid-19 sehingga baru dapat dilaksanakkan pada tahun 2021 secara daring. Tahun 2022, ICCAI Kembali akan digelar pada tanggal 6-7 September 20222 bekerjasama dengan Lab Indonesia mengangkat tema “The Role of Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation to support urban society: health, energy, and environment”
