Dean of FMIPA UI Dede Djuhana, Ph. D. received a visit from the Head of the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (BAPPPPEDA) of Sumedang Regency Hj. Tuti Ruswati, S. Sos., M. Si. and staff on Wednesday (22/12/2021) at Meeting Room A, FMIPA UI Dean’s Building, Depok
This visit is a follow-up to the joint agreement between BAPPPPEDA Sumedang Regency and FMIPA UI in the fields of education, research, and community service.
The Head of BAPPPPEDA said, “Through this meeting, we intend to coordinate and consult regarding the work of self-managed geospatial data verification in Sumedang Regency with FMIPA UI.”
On the same occasion, the Dean of FMIPA UI stated that his party was ready to help by involving units related to the work, namely the geography department and the geology and geophysics study program through community service programs, field work practices, and so on.
Some of the things discussed in this meeting included geospatial database management and early warning systems.
Head of the Geography Department, FMIPA UI, Dr. Supriatna, M.T., said, “We from the Geography Department are ready to assist in creating a large-scale village map of 1:5,000 from high-resolution satellite imagery (CSRT) within one year through a collaborative program, student field lectures, and community service by lecturers and students of Geography, FMIPA UI.”
From the FMIPA UI, also present were the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. techn. Djoko Triyono, M. Si., Student Affairs Manager Dr. Retno Lestari, M. Si., Venture and Alumni Relations Manager, Selo Sukardi, S. Si., Head of the Geography Department Dr. Supriatna, M.T., and Head of the Geology and Geophysics Study Program Dr. Eng. Supriyanto.
Meanwhile, from the Sumedang Regency BAPPPPEDA, namely the Head of Infrastructure and Regional Development Ade Sunardi ST, Head of the Spatial Planning and Environment Sub-Division Siti Asyaroh S.T. M.Si., Space Utilization Analyst Niken Sukma S.T., Development Program Analyst Rifka Anggraeni S.I.P.
