The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), held a Studium Generale titled “Huawei and FMIPA UI Collaboration” on Wednesday (18 February 2026) at the Aula Prof. Dr. Ir. Soemantri Brodjonegoro. The event was aimed at final-year students and recent alumni, with the objective of providing insights into the latest technological developments and career opportunities in the digital industry.

The event featured leading practitioners from Huawei. Rayi Pradono Iswara, ICT Talent Ecosystem Development Manager, discussed curriculum integration between universities and industry, as well as the application of the latest technologies in the workplace. Drio Bramantyo, General Manager of Huawei for the West Java region, elaborated on the company’s core values—“Huawei Core Values”—which serve as the foundation of its innovation. Meanwhile, Hendra Leung provided insights into career opportunities in the technology sector and guided an interactive discussion session with the participants.

In his remarks, the Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, stated that collaboration with industry partners such as Huawei is a strategic step in bridging the gap between academia and the real demands of the workforce.

“We want our students not only to master theoretical knowledge, but also to understand how science and technology are applied in modern industry,” said Tito Latif Indra.

This activity is expected to provide FMIPA UI students with a deeper understanding of industry expectations, the skills required, and how to integrate academic knowledge with workplace demands. In addition, the opportunity to engage directly in discussions with industry practitioners is anticipated to further strengthen students’ readiness to face the challenges of the digital and technological era.

Through this collaboration, FMIPA UI continues to strengthen its efforts to prepare students for the demands of the modern workforce, while fostering closer synergy between the world of education and industry.
