The Selection Committee for the 2022 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad for Higher Education (ON-MIPA PT) at the University of Indonesia (UI) announced the results of the first stage of selection on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. The initial selection itself was held online on Saturday (May 28, 2022) with one hundred participants from across faculties. The selection results selected the top five students in each field (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).

The selected participants will then proceed to the second stage, the regional selection, which will be held online on July 23-24, 2022. As a form of support for its contingents, FMIPA UI provides intensive training under the guidance of internal lecturers with expertise in related fields for one month to equip them for a more competitive battle on this important date.

The training activities consist of lectures related to the material being competed, practice questions, and guidance by accomplished seniors who have won medals in similar olympiads. Meanwhile, lecturers with expertise in their respective fields who were appointed as trainers were Dr. Adam Badra Cahaya (Physics), Dr. Iman Abdullah (Chemistry), Arman Haqqi Anna Zili M.Si. (Mathematics), and Dr. Retno Lestari, M.Si. (Biology).
