Jidan Yusan Zenadin, a 2016 undergraduate student in Mathematics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI), and a member of the University of Indonesia debate team, won second place in the Indonesian Debating Competition.
This was announced at the Awarding Night at the Werdhapura Auditorium in Sanur on August 2, 2018.
Zenadin and his team defeated several teams from other universities, including the host, in the preliminary round held on August 1, 2018.
Previously, Zenadin and his team submitted an essay on “education disparities in Indonesia and the government’s steps to address them.” This essay advanced Zenadin and his team to the next round, where they won second place.
Indonesian Debating Competition (IDC) is one of the competitions in the entire series of events at Equilibrium Science Fair (ESF). This activity was held on August 1-2, 2018, at Udayana University, Bali.
The Equilibrium Science Fair (ESF) itself is a program of Division 1 of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Udayana University.
The 2018 ESF featured four competition divisions: the English Debating Competition (EDC), the Indonesian Debating Competition (IDC), the Equilibrium Writing Competition (EWC), and the National Equilbrium Competition (NEC).
