{"id":2294,"date":"2019-09-30T04:08:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-30T04:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/?p=2294"},"modified":"2025-08-05T04:28:59","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T04:28:59","slug":"introduction-of-the-physics-department-of-fmipa-ui-encourages-new-students-to-become-sources-of-knowledge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/id\/introduction-of-the-physics-department-of-fmipa-ui-encourages-new-students-to-become-sources-of-knowledge\/","title":{"rendered":"Pengenalan Departemen Fisika FMIPA UI Dorong Mahasiswa Baru Menjadi Sumber Ilmu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rangkaian kegiatan mahasiswa baru atau yang biasa dikenal sebagai ospek merupakan salah satu bagian dari fase perjalanan yang sudah pasti akan dilalui oleh setiap mahasiswa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Namun seringkali, orientasi yang diberikan oleh instansi perguruan tinggi menjadikan mahasiswa hanya sebagai target penyampaian informasi oleh pembicara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Template yang sudah umum djumpai pada ospek kebanyakan ialah penyampaian materi terkait kehidupan perkuliahan, sistem akademik, dan seminar motivasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Departemen FMIPA UI, melalui kegiatan Pengenalan Departemen Fisika (PDF) mencoba mendobrak aturan baku tersebut. Dalam kegiatan ini mahasiswa baru Fisika jenjang sarjana yang berjumlah total 145 orang tidak hanya dilibatkan sebagai target penyampaian informasi namun juga tempat sumber ilmu berasal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kegiatan bertajuk Singularity ini dilaksanakan selama bulan September setiap hari Jumat dan Sabtu, dimulai dari tanggal 13 September 2019, di Ruang Seminar Utama Fisika FMIPA UI, Depok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dennis Bawole selaku ketua pelaksana menyampaikani proses penyampaian materi memungkinkan dilakukan secara dua arah. Artinya, penyampaian informasi tidak melulu berasal dari pembicara, akan tetapi juga dapat berasal dari sesama mahasiswa baru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">\u201cKarena memang, pada umumnya, orang itu gak terlalu ingat dengan materi, orang akan lebih ingat pada momen yang mereka rasakan dan momen yang berkesan bagi mereka,\u201d ucap Dennis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ia dan timnya merancang konsep kegiatan sedinamis mungkin tanpa mengesampingkan esensi dari ospek itu sendiri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perancangan susunan kegiatan seperti ini, kata Dennis, juga dimaksudkan untuk memberikan pengalaman berkesan bagi mahasiswa baru agar tidak hanya mengingat materi yang disampaikan, akan tetapi juga mengingat momen istimewa dari masa orientasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKami melihat target penyampaian materi ialah kalangan mahasiswa dari generasi Z, yaitu generasi yang tidak terlalu suka dengan hal yang bersifat stagnan dan sangat ingin melakukan sesuatu secara dinamis,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maka dibentuklah tiga kegiatan utama yang melibatkan para mahasiswa baru untuk berperan aktif menyampaikan gagasan dan informasi melalui diskusi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Pertama, Physics Group Discussion yang secara umum membahas tentang peran saintis fisika bagi Indonesi.  Kedua, Debate for The Future yang umumnya membahas tentang permasalahan-permasalahan yang mungkin terjadi di dalam angkatan mahasiswa baru yang mereka sadari namun belum menemukan cara bagaimana menyelesaikannya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terakhir ialah Diskusi Pengabdian Masyarakat yang menitikberatkan pada ide kontribusi mahasiswa terhadap masyarakat di sekitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Selain dari susunan kegiatan yang melibatkan mahasiswa secara aktif, penyampaian materi berupa seminar juga tetap diberikan pada pekan awal PDF Singularity 2019. Seminar yang disampaikan adalah Self-Development yang dibawakan oleh Adryan Fitraa, alumni Fisika FMIPA UI 2006, dan leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para mahasiswa baru juga diberikan pemaparan terkait Program Kreatifitas Mahasiswa, dan peminatan di Fisika FMIPA UI yang bisa mereka pilih pada semeseter 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melalui kegiatan PDF ini para mahasiswa baru diharapkan dapat meningkatkan rasa bangga terhadap Departemen Fisika FMIPA UI, sehingga dapat berkontribusi dan berinovasi secara maksimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The series of activities for new students, or what is commonly known as orientation, is one part of the journey that every student will definitely go through.
