Yang Tersemat Pada Nama Calon Rektor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tahun ini, UI kembali akan menggelar Pemilihan Rektor (Pilrek) periode 2019-2024. Serangkaian tahap pemilihan Rektor UI saat ini masih berjalan. Berdasarkan penetapan Majelis Wali Amanat (MWA) UI dalam Berita Acara No.BA-374\/UN2.MWA.OTL.01\/2019, tanggal 2 September 2019, Panitia Penjaringan dan Penyaringan Bakal Calon Rektor (P3CR) UI mengumumkan 20 nama calon Rektor UI terjaring untuk periode 2019-2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">3 dari 20 nama calon yang diumumkan oleh P3CR tersebut, berasal dari Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (MIPA) Universitas Indonesia. Ketiga nama calon itu, memiliki gelar akademik yang sama pada jenjang Doktornya, yaitu Dr. rer. nat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mereka adalah Prof. Dr. rer. nat Abdul Haris, yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Dekan FMIPA UI disusul dengan Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Rosari Saleh, dan Dr. rer. nat. Yasman, M.Sc., Lalu, apakah sebenarnya gelar Dr. rer. nat. itu?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bagi sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia, mungkin gelar tersebut masih cukup asing di telinga, bukan? Ya tentu saja, karena ternyata gelar akademik Dr. rer. nat. adalah gelar yang diperoleh bagi mereka yang menempuh pendidikan S-3 di Negara Panser, Jerman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Dr. rer. nat. sendiri adalah kependekan dari Doctor rerum naturalium, yang jika ditermahkan ke bahasa Indonesia memiliki arti Doktor Ilmu Sains. Gelar doktor berbasis riset yang berasal dari Jerman dan diberikan kepada seseorang yang telah berhasil menempuh pendidikan jenjang doktor (berbasis riset) di bidang ilmu alam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gelar doktor tersebut hampir selalu diberikan berdasarkan pengakuan terhadap riset akademik yang mencapai standar dan layak diterbitkan (meskipun kenyataannya mungkin tidak diterbitkan) dan mewakili paling tidak satu sumbangan kecil terhadap pengetahuan manusia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Tak hanya gelar Dr. rer. nat., di Jerman masih ada beberapa gelar doktor berbasis riset lainnya yang dibedakan menurut bidang ilmu yang ditekuni kandidat. Beberapa di antaranya adalah Doktor ilmu pertanian (doctor agricultur, Dr. agr.), Doktor ilmu-ilmu teknik (doctor ingenieur, Dr.-Ing.)
