Si., Dr. Retno Lestari, M.Si., Dr. rer. nat. Mufti Petala Patria, M.Sc, serta delapan anggota mahasiswa hadir secara langsung di Desa Pantai Bahagia, Kecamatan Muara Gembong, Kabupaten Bekasi pada Senin, 20 Juni 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team&#8217;s presence at the location was to help milkfish farmers<em>(Chanos chanos<\/em>Forsk.<em>)&nbsp;<\/em>maximize pond yields through minametric innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minametri is an innovation developed by four lecturers at the University of Indonesia with properties as a fertilizer, supplement, and medicine for preventing disease in fish and shrimp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This community service program collaborates with the Pandu Cendekia Foundation, and receives funding support from the Directorate of Community Service and Empowerment, University of Indonesia (DPPM UI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketua tim, Dimas, mengatakan kegiatan ini menyusul keberhasilan program dengan inovasi serupa pada tambak udang windu&nbsp;<em>(Penaeus monodon)<\/em>&nbsp;yang telah dilakukan tim pada bulan Juni hingga September tahun 2020 lalu di lokasi yang sama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPupuk minametrik dan sistem tambak semi intesif pada budidaya udang windu tahun 2020 lalu berhasil menyelesaikan permasalahan para pembudidaya di Desa Muara Bahagia dengan peningkatan produktivitas udang windu sehingga mengerucut pada peningkatan roda ekonomi masyarakat di tengah pandemi COVID-19,\u201d kata Dimas kepada tim Humas FMIPA UI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTambak tersebut kita rancang secara semi intensif, dimana pada tepi tambak kita bentuk tembok tapi bagian bawahnya tetap tanah. Jadi kami memberikan nutrisi pada tanah tersebut dan bandeng itu sendiri\u201d kata Dimas menerangkan metode minametrik pada tambak bandeng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tim berharap program ini juga dapat berhasil seperti yang dilakukan sebelumnya pada tambak udang windu. Kualitas hasil tambak yang unggul dan kuantitas panen yang meningkat, tentunya dapat mendorong perekonomian petani tambak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sementara itu, masyarakat di Desa Desa Pantai Bahagia mayoritas bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan laut lepas dan petani tambak, sehingga menggantungkan hidupnya dari hasil laut dan tambak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ikan bandeng<em>(Chanos chanos<\/em>Forsk.<em>)&nbsp;<\/em>menjadi salah satu jenis ikan yang hidup di air payau yang menjadi pilihan masyarakat untuk ditambakkan karena sifatnya yang mudah beradaptasi dan mengandung gizi tinggi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oleh karena itu, melalui program pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan menjadi sarana edukasi dan pengenalan teknik budidaya bandeng dengan sistem semi intensif dan menggunakan pupuk minametrik sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan menunjang perekonomian masyarakat setempat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mahmud sebagai salah satu petambak di Desa Pantai Bahagia mengaku bahwa hasil panen bandeng belakangan ini kurang memuaskan karena hasil panen tidak mencapai target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTarget dari pelepasan nener 100% kemarin kita coba lepas 17.000, targetnya minimal 10.000, sekitar 80%. Tapi hasilnya cuma sekitar 60% dengan 8.000-10.000 ikan hidup.\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut Mahmud hasil panen yang kurang optimal tersebut disebabkan karena faktor cuaca dan pakan alami yang kurang sesuai, baik dari harga pasaran maupun kualitas. Namun, berkat sosialisasi tambak minametrik yang dilakukan tim pengmas FMIPA UI, hasil panen mulai meningkat pesat dan optimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mahmud juga menjelaskan, harga pakan saat ini mengalami kenaikan dari yang semula Rp210.000 per sak, kini Rp235.000 per sak.
