Aula B.101 Gedung B Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI) resmi berganti nama menjadi Aula Prof. Dr. Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Selasa (27\/9\/2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peresmian tersebut ditandai dengan penandatanganan prasasti oleh Dede Djuhana, Ph.D. Dekan FMIPA UI dan Prof. Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro, S.E., MUP, Ph.D. putra Prof. Dr. Soemantri Brodjonegoro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dekan FMIPA UI mengatakan bahwa pemberian nama Prof. Dr. Soemantri Brodjonegoro pada aula ini adalah bentuk penghargaan sekaligus untuk mengenang jasa Rektor termuda sepanjang sejarah UI tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeliau yang telah banyak menyumbangkan tenaga dan pikirannya dalam masa awal pendirian FMIPA UI, sehingga kami merasa perlu untuk memberikan tanda jasa kepada beliau. Sebagaimana pepatah bahwa bangsa yang besar adalah bangsa yang menghargai jasa pahlawannya\u201d ujar Dekan FMIPA UI dalam sambutannya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Soemantri Brodjonegoro merupakan Dekan ke 2 FMIPA UI yang pada saat itu masih bernama FIPIA UI. Beliau menjabat pada periode tahun 1964-1968.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pada masa jabatan beliau sebagai Dekan FIPIA UI, beliau juga menjabat sebagai Rektor ke 7 UI, yang kemudian masa jabatannya diperpanjang hingga taahun 1973.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Soemantri Brodjonegoro also served as Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Indonesia in 1967-1973 and also Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 1973.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resmi menyandang nama besar ayahnya, Prof. Bambang menyampaikan harapan agar aula ini dapat membawa spirit baru bagi sivitas akademika dalam melaksanakan kegiatan perkuliahan di FMIPA UI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beliau sedikit berkisah tentang perjuangan sang ayah yang sempat merangkap sebagai Dekan di FMIPA UI 1964-1968 dan Dekan Fakultas Sastra pada periode 1964-1965. Saat itu, kata Ekonom UI tersebut, Indonesia sedang berada dalam kondisi politik yang tidak stabil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAgar saat itu UI tetap bisa berjalan dan memberikan perkuliahan kepada mahasiswa,\u201d ujar Bambang perihal rangkap jabatan ayahnya<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sebagai pelengkap seremonial, dilakukan juga pemotongan tumpeng dan pembukaan tirai nama aula oleh Prof. Bambang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aula Prof. Dr. Soemantri Brodjonegoro merupakan ruangan yang dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan pertemuan dan ruang perkuliahan bagi sivitas akademika FMIPA UI. Dengan luas 342 M2 aula ini memiliki daya tampung 300 orang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penetapan perubahan nama aula B.101 gedung B FMIPA UI itu sendiri tertuang dalam Surat Keputusan Dekan FMIPA UI Nomor:2309\/SK\/F3.D\/UI\/2020 oleh yang ditandatangani oleh Dr. Rokhmatuloh, M.Eng. Pejabat Dekan FMIPA UI kala itu, tepat di hari ulang tahun ke 60 FMIPA UI, 21 Desember 2020.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
