{"id":3241,"date":"2019-07-19T06:42:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-19T06:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/?p=3241"},"modified":"2025-08-05T06:43:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T06:43:15","slug":"the-fmipa-ui-community-service-team-develops-environmentally-friendly-mangrove-ecotourism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/id\/the-fmipa-ui-community-service-team-develops-environmentally-friendly-mangrove-ecotourism\/","title":{"rendered":"Tim Pengmas FMIPA UI Kembangkan Ekowisata Mangrove Ramah Lingkungan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tim pengabdian masyarakat (Pengmas) FMIPA UI, yang terdiri dari dosen dan staf Pusat Studi Kelautan FMIPA UI mengunjungi area hutan mangroves Tengkolak di pesisir Karawang, Jawa Barat pada tanggal 12-13 Juli 2019, untuk mendorong kawasan tersebut sebagai pusat ekowisata serta edukasi berbasis konservasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program yang diketuai oleh Dra. Tuty Handayani, M.S., dengan melibatkan 3 (tiga) orang mahasiswa ini, mengusung judul \u2018Pengembangan Model Ekowisata Hutan Mangrove dan Tambak Berbasis Konservasi di Desa Sukakerta, Kecamatan Cilamaya Wetan, Kabupaten Karawang\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuty Handayani menyampaikan bahwa area pesisir tersebut sebelumnya sangat dipenuhi oleh sampah, padahal sangat  berpotensi untuk dijadikan kawasan konservasi bila dikelola secara terpadu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oleh sebab itu, Tuty Handayani dan tim turut melibatkan Dra. Titi Soediarti, S.U Dosen Biologi FMIPA UI, sebagai konseptor model ekowisata serta pendiri gallery edukasi hutan mangrove di Desa Sukakerta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Di sisi lain, Dr. Noverita D. Takarina, ahli toksikologi perairan laut FMIPA UI, juga menyampaikan bahwa kotornya perairan pesisir yang disebabkan oleh sampah dapat menyebabkan banyak kerugian bagi masyarakat setempat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hal ini, lanjut Noverita, juga memengaruhi kondisi perairan tambak yang seharusnya subur karena berlokasi dekat dengan hutan mangrove, namun terganggu akibat sampah yang masuk terbawa saat pasang tinggi. Sehingga, tim pengmas akan mengaplikasikan model silvofishery yang ramah lingkungan untuk mengembangkan potensi tambak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staf Pusat Studi Kelautan FMIPA UI, Fika Afriyani menambahkan bahwa kunjungan tersebut juga untuk memantau pembangunan walking track sepanjang kurang lebih 400 meter untuk para pengunjung yang sudah terselesaikan, serta untuk memeringati hari mangroves sedunia yang jatuh pada tanggal 26 Juli.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FMIPA UI community service team (Pengmas), consisting of lecturers and staff from the FMIPA UI Marine Studies Center, visited the Tengkolak mangrove forest area on the coast of Karawang, West Java on July 12-13, 2019, to promote the area as a center for ecotourism and conservation-based education.
