Simak Penjelasan Ahli Kimia FMIPA UI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Siapa yang tak merasa jengkel jika sudah berurusan dengan  bentol dan rasa gatal akibat gigitan nyamuk. Sebenarnya nyamuk bukan menggigit, melainkan menghisap darah manusia. Hal ini dikarenakan serangga ini tertarik pada suhu panas, keringat, dan karbondioksida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Untuk menghindari hal tersebut, banyak orang berfikir untuk menggunakan obat anti nyamuk. Meskipun kesadaran akan bahaya dari obat anti nyamuk mulai disadari banyak orang, namun beberapa orang diantaranya masih tergantung dengan penggunaan obat anti nyamuk baik dalam bentuk semprot, bakar, dan elektrik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pertanyaan yang sering muncul adalah, apakah penggunaannya aman bagi kesehatan? Apakah bahan yang terkandung dalam obat anti nyamuk berbahaya? Simak penjelasan Dr.rer.nat. Budiawan, ahli toksikologi kimia FMIPA UI berikut ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pertama, Karena obat anti nyamuk terbuat dari bahan kimia sintetik. Seperti senyawa kimia organofosfat dan karbamat, yang termasuk dalam golongan pestisida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Kedua bahan kimia tersebut bisa menghambat kerja enzim acetylcholinesterase (AChE), yaitu enzim yang berkerja pada sistem sawar otak dan dapat memicu transfer sinyal (neurotransmitter) pada saraf manusia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJadi jika kita merasa pusing, mual, setelah mencium obat anti nyamuk, itu tandanya kita sudah keracunan,\u201d Papar Budiawan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Selain bahan kimia organofosfat (diklorvos\/DDVP) dan karbamat (antara lai, propoxur), kebanyakan obat anti nyamuk yang beredar saat ini mengandung bahan kimia aktif golongan pyrethroid, diantaranya allethrin, bioallethrin dan transflutrin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTentu semua bahan insektisida pada prinsipnya sangat berbahaya. Apalagi jika digunakan secara tidak proporsional, dapat emicu terjadinya kerusakan sistem saraf,\u201d Jelas Budiawan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apalagi pada beberapa obat anti nyamuk yang beredar di pasaran, ada penambahan S2 (octachloro dipropyl ether).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S2 menyebabkan obat anti nyamuk lebih ampuh membunuh segala nyamuk dan serangga lainnya, sepert kecoa, lalat, semut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAsal tahu jika dimasukan s2 jadinya lebih berbahaya bagi manusia, karena jika dibakar, bahan tersebut dapat menghasilkan BCME (bischloromethyl ether) yang berisiko memicu kanker paru-paru,\u201d tutup Budiawan.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Who doesn&#8217;t get irritated when they have to deal with the bumps and itching caused by mosquito bites?
