University of Indonesia (UI) Rector Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., inaugurated six new deans on Friday, December 10, 2021. The inauguration was conducted in a hybrid format, with in-person meetings at each faculty and in the offices of UI leaders. One of the new deans inaugurated was Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly appointed deans underwent a series of selection processes, starting at the faculty level and continuing through an assessment at the university level. Prior to the assessment, the candidates were given the opportunity to provide public input. The inauguration of Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) for the 2021-2025 period was based on UI Rector’s Decree Number 2265\/SK\/R\/UI\/2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his inauguration speech, Prof. Ari Kuncoro stated that the presence of the deans of these faculties is expected to provide new enthusiasm for UI, which is transforming into the entrepreneurial university era. The rapid changes in the world require an extra-fast adaptation process, information technology that increasingly dominates every element of life, and the increasingly dynamic campus situation, require hard work and smart work from university leaders. The journey into this new phase for UI is certainly not an easy matter compared to the era of traditional universities\/conservative universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The solution to the changes around us must be able to be addressed through the ability to read the situation and adapt to the turmoil of change. I am confident that if we all share the same conviction and believe in leading UI in a better direction, then this hope will be more than just a dream. The role of the dean in steering the faculty is highly anticipated, so that UI, as our great ship, will reach its destination,” said Prof. Ari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, one of the elected Deans, Prof. Dr. Yoki Yulizar, M.Sc, resigned due to health reasons and was replaced by Dede Djuhana, Ph.D. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by members of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Professors, the Academic Senate, the Vice Chancellors and Secretaries of the University, the Deans, the Directors of Schools, and the Director of Vocational Studies at UI.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
