Ia juga mencatatkan IPK sempurna 4.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sidang terbuka promosi doktor Abdul Basit digelar pada Selasa, (1\/7) di Aula Prof. Dr. G.A. Siwabessy, FMIPA UI, Kampus Depok. Sidang dipimpin oleh Prof. Dede Djuhana, M.Si., Ph.D., Dekan FMIPA UI, dengan Prof. Dr. Ivandini Tribidasari A., S.Si., M.Si. sebagai promotor dan Prof. Jarnuzi Gunlazuardi, Ph.D. sebagai ko-promotor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam disertasinya yang berjudul&nbsp;<em>\u201cElectrochemiluminescence of Luminol on Highly Ordered TiO\u2082 Nanotube Arrays and Commercial Screen-Printed Carbon Electrodes for Analytical Sensing\u201d<\/em>Abdul Basit mengembangkan sensor kimia berbasis cahaya listrik (electrochemiluminescence\/ECL) untuk mendeteksi zat berbahaya seperti hidrogen peroksida (H\u2082O\u2082) dan insektisida isoprocarb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sci.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/DSC_2836-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13136\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPenelitian ini adalah kontribusi kecil saya untuk meningkatkan keamanan lingkungan dan pangan, terutama di negara-negara berkembang,\u201d ujar Abdul Basit usai sidang promosi. (disampaikan dalam bahasa Inggris).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sensor yang dikembangkan memanfaatkan bahan nanoteknologi titanium dioksida (TiO\u2082) yang dibentuk seperti tabung mikroskopis. Tabung ini memiliki kemampuan luar biasa dalam menghantarkan listrik dan memancarkan cahaya saat bereaksi dengan zat tertentu. Dengan teknologi ini, sensor bisa mendeteksi zat kimia secara lebih cepat, akurat, dan sensitif dibandingkan metode konvensional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Untuk mendeteksi H\u2082O\u2082, sensor menghasilkan cahaya saat zat tersebut bereaksi di permukaan elektroda. Semakin tinggi kadar H\u2082O\u2082, semakin terang cahaya yang dihasilkan. Sensor ini terbukti bekerja sangat baik dalam pengujian air ledeng, dengan akurasi tinggi dan tingkat keberulangan yang sangat baik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sementara itu, untuk mendeteksi insektisida isoprocarb, zat kimia berbahaya yang sering digunakan dalam pertanian, sensor berbasis elektroda karbon cetak (SPCE) digunakan. Kehadiran isoprocarb akan menurunkan intensitas cahaya yang dihasilkan, dan penurunan ini bisa diukur untuk mengetahui kadar pestisida dalam sampel, seperti pada kopi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penelitian Abdul Basit berkontribusi besar dalam pengembangan teknologi sensor untuk keamanan lingkungan dan pangan. Sensor buatannya dapat digunakan untuk memantau kualitas air, mendeteksi residu pestisida dalam makanan, hingga digunakan dalam riset lingkungan dan industri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sci.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/DSC_2919-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13137\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teknologi ini juga ramah pengguna, cepat, dan hemat biaya, sehingga berpotensi diadopsi secara luas, baik oleh laboratorium riset maupun instansi pengawasan pangan dan lingkungan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof.  Ivandini selaku promotor<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>mengungkapkan apresiasinya terhadap kerja keras dan pencapaian luar biasa dari mahasiswa bimbingannya tersebut. Ia menyampaikan \u201cAbdul Basit menunjukkan semangat riset yang luar biasa sejak awal. Ia tidak hanya fokus pada kedalaman teori, tapi juga berupaya keras menjadikan penelitiannya relevan dan berdampak.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keberhasilan Abdul Basit menunjukkan bahwa Program Beasiswa KNB UI bukan hanya membuka akses pendidikan tinggi bagi mahasiswa dari negara berkembang, tapi juga menghasilkan riset-riset berkualitas internasional.
