(Geografi), Iqbal Putut Ash Shidiq, PhD (Geografi), Dr. Supriyanto (Geosains), Sukarno Bin Gendon, M. Si. (Geosains), dan Nugroho (Geosains), mengembangkan sistem pemantau iklim lokal otomatis untuk memantau suhu udara, kelembaban udara, dan curah hujan secara online.&nbsp;<em>online<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sistem ini menggunakan sensor parameter iklim suhu udara, kelembaban udara dan curah hujan, beserta koordinat lokasi dari&nbsp;<em>Global Positioning System<\/em>yang dioperasikan secara real time dari lokasi pantau melalui transmisi data komunikasi&nbsp;<em>cellular<\/em>&nbsp;atau komunikasi&nbsp;<em>Internet of Things<\/em>&nbsp;Untuk data iklim lokal secara teori dapat memantau luasan sekitar 100 meterpersegi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketua tim, Adi Wibowo, Ph.D. mengatakan keunggulan inovasi ini adalah data suhu udara, kelembaban udara, dan curah hujan yang telah terkirim ke sistem&nbsp;<em>cloud server<\/em>&nbsp;dapat terpantau secara otomatis dan bisa diakses oleh siapa saja, tanpa harus mencatat atau mengunduh secara manual. Tampilan web tersebut juga telah disempurnakan guna mendapatkan pembaruan per jam, hari, minggu, bulan, dan tahun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"411\" src=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/pengganti-web-1024x411-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4726\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/pengganti-web-1024x411-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/pengganti-web-1024x411-1-300x120.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/pengganti-web-1024x411-1-768x308.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/pengganti-web-1024x411-1-18x7.jpg 18w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/pengganti-web-1024x411-1-600x241.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alat ini dioperasikan dengan tenaga listrik yang dihasilkan dari panel surya berukuran 12 watt peak (WP). Di Lingkungan FMIPA UI sendiri, alat ini dipasang di Gedung Geografi dan di area parkir Gedung Geografi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEnergi yang dihasilkan oleh panel surya kecil berukuran 12&nbsp;<em>watt<\/em>&nbsp;<em>peak<\/em>&nbsp;(WP) sebagai sumber energi yang disimpan dalam baterai. Data tersebut dikumpulkan selama 24 jam, namun demikian tergantung pada kondisi matahari siang hari yang mampu mengisi penuh baterai. Jika energi baterai habis, maka keesokan hari saat matahari terbit alat akan secara otomatis hidup kembali untuk mendata,\u201d ucap Adi kepada tim Humas FMIPA UI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beliau melanjutkan, secara umum terdapat unsur iklim cukup banyak, namun baru 3 unsur iklim yang dapat dipantau datanya pada alat ini yaitu suhu udara, kelembaban udara dan curah hujan. Untuk kondisi tersebut dikaitkan dengan unsur penutup permukan bumi, misalkan tertutup pohon dan tertutup aspal\/semen, maka inovasi ini mampu memantau kondisi unsur iklim tersebut baik kondisi siang hari (ada matahari) atau malam hari (tanpa matahari). Sehingga bisa didapatkan bagaimana kondisi unsur iklim siang dan malam hari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSetiap 10 menit sekali data akan diperbaharui melalui sistem ini. Kaitan lainnya adalah sebagai indikator dalam perhitungan greenmetrik, sehingga system ini bisa memantau dimana tempat yang panas dan sejuk di lingkungan sekitar alat tersebut di pasang,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inovasi ini mulai dikembangkan oleh Adi dan tim peneliti FMIPA UI pada tahun 2022 melalui skema  pendanaan yang diperoleh dari PUTI Q2 dan PDUPT untuk alat yang didaftarkan paten tahun 2022 dan untuk paten tahun 2023 mendapat bantuan dana hibah PUTI Batch 3. Proses rancangan diawali dengan menentukan perangkat sebagai sensor yang mampu mendata unsur iklim suhu udara, kelembaban udara, dan curah hujan. Tim kemudian menganalisa dan membuat sistem komunikasi guna mendata tiga unsur tersebut dari tiap sensor, selanjutnya tim membuat sumber energi listrik melalui baterai\/powerbank, dan juga energi matahari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sensor, sistem komunikasi, panel surya dan baterai yang telah disiapkan ditempatkan di dalam kotak dengan tiang penyangga yang telah dibuatkan secara khusus oleh tim agar bisa diletakkan dengan baik di lokasi pemantauan. Setelah itu tim membuat sistem database dan komunikasi berbasis&nbsp;<em>IoT<\/em>&nbsp;dan&nbsp;<em>cloud server<\/em>&nbsp;serta merancang tampilan di web agar bisa diakses oleh pengguna untuk mengetahui kondisi iklim lokal terkini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTentu hasilnya tersimpan dalam server dan bisa dijadikan data untuk keperluan analisa lanjutan,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inovasi ini telah diujicobakan di Desa Narimbang dan Desa Citengah, Kabupaten Sumedang, sebagai kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada November 2022 lalu, dan hasilnya alat beroperasi dengan baik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketua Departemen Geografi sekaligus anggota tim peneliti, Dr. Supriatna, M.T. mengatakan bahwa inovasi ini dilakukan guna menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat luas akan informasi seputar cuaca dan iklim di lingkungannya. Dengan demikian masyarakat dapat merencanakan atau menyesuaikan kegiatan luar ruang mereka berdasarkan hasil pantauan cuaca dan iklim tersebut dalam beberapa waktu ke depan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlat ini kami rancang untuk membantu masyarakat dalam memonitoring cuaca atau iklim di lingkungannya, sehingga mereka bisa beraktivitas di luar ruang sesuai dengan data monitoring tersebut,\u201d kata Dr. Supriatna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ia optimis inovasi ini masih dapat dikembangkan lebih jauh dengan menambah fitur sensor untuk parameter iklim lainnya seperti sensor arah dan kecepatan angin, sinar matahari, dan suhu permukaan tanah.
