Rektor Universitas Indonesia (UI) Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., menjamin setiap mahasiswa yang diterima UI khususnya pada program reguler, tidak akan mengalami hambatan dalam mengikuti pendidikan akibat masalah finansial. Ia mengatakan, penetapan biaya Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) Program Sarjana Kelas Reguler dan Program Pendidikan Vokasi disesuaikan dengan data latar belakang sosio-ekonomi orang tua\/penanggung biaya pendidikan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBagi mahasiswa program reguler, kita harus bisa menjamin bahwa UKTnya sesuai dengan kemampuan dan berkeadilan,\u201d ujar Prof. Heri setelah usai resmi dilantik sebagai Rektor UI periode 2024-2029 di Balai Serbaguna Purnomo Prawiro, Kampus UI Depok, pada Rabu (4\/12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ia menambahkan, berbagai mekanisme telah dikembangkan oleh UI untuk mengatasi hal ini. UI telah menerapkan kebijakan penetapan besaran biaya pendidikan UKT secara berkeadilan yang berdasarkan data dan hasil evaluasi kemampuan bayar penanggung biaya pendidikan. Untuk itu, UI telah membagi penetapan UKT ke dalam 11 kelompok, mulai dari tarif terendah Rp500.000 hingga yang tertinggi mencapai Rp20.000.000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lebih lanjut Prof. Heri mengatakan, selain penetapan UKT yang berkeadilan, UI juga akan mencarikan beasiswa untuk mahasiswa yang membutuhkan agar bisa survive<\/em> selama menempuh pendidikan di UI. \u201cApabila ada anak UI di kelas reguler tidak mampu, mohon segera infokan. Jika ada yang terlewat,\u201d kata Prof. Heri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
