{"id":5335,"date":"2020-09-12T04:21:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-12T04:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/?p=5335"},"modified":"2025-08-07T04:22:51","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T04:22:51","slug":"minimize-textile-waste-this-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/id\/minimize-textile-waste-this-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Minimalisir Sampah Tekstil Dengan Cara ini"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beberapa fakta dibalik maraknya industry pakaian yang selalu berubah setiap musim di penjuru dunia, antara lain dibutuhkan 20.000 liter air untuk memproduksi 1 kg kapas sebagai bahan utama kain<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jumlah tersebut setara dengan 1,5 triliun liter air pertahun yang digunakan pada industry pakaian, sedangkan disaat yang bersamaan terdapat jutaan orang di beberapa Negara dan daerah yang masih tidak dapat menikmati akses air bersih (bahkan beberapa daerah pedalaman di Indonesia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terdapat beberapa kategori dalam produksi pakaian diantaranya dikenal dengan istilah fast fashion dan slow fashion. Pada industry fast fashion perusahaan berlomba-lomba memenuhi target kebutuhan trend pakaian terbaru dalam waktu singkat, namun dengan biaya produksi rendah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sehingga perusahaan tersebut memanfaatkan banyak pekerja yang dapat dibayar dengan upah rendah. Hal tersebut membuat industry tersebut menyumbang jumlah pencemaran lingkungan, khususnya air sebanyak 80% sampah kain dan hanya sekitar 1% saja yang didaur ulang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melihat kecenderungan itu, pelaku industri slow fashion menaruh rasa prihatin dalam industry fast fashion. Pelaku usaha slow fashion berkomitmen untuk menciptakan produk yang ramah lingkungan dan tahan lama serta membayar pekerja dengan upah normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beberapa hal yang bisa dilakukan untuk mengurangi sampah textile:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Cek label pada pakaian. Bahan yang mengandung kata \u2018poly-\u2018merupakan indikator yang mengandung bahan plastik. Maka apabila dicuci dapat membuat bahan tersebut terlepas dari seratnya dan menjadi sumber microplastik terbanyak di laut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Menjadi konsumen yang aware dengan membeli pakaian di second hand shop atau yang merupakan produksi slow fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Reduce, reuse, dan recycle sangat dapat diterapkan dalam pemakaian pakaian. Reduce, mengurangi belanja baju baru setiap saat. Reuse, menggunakan pakaian \u2018second brand\u2019 sehingga memberikan kesempatan baru bagi pakaian lama namun masih dapat digunakan atau memperbaiki pakaian sendiri.. Serta recycle, apabila pakaian sudah tidak dapat digunakan namun masih bisa digunakan untuk fungsi yang lain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Tahun 2017, Copenhagen Fashion Summit terselenggara menciptakan Circular Fashion System, yang berkonsep sustainable atau berkelanjutan. Sistem ini mengajak perusahaan industry pakaian bertanggung jawab terhadap produknya dengan memberikan label informasi bahan, serta perlu mengedukasi konsumen untuk bijak memnggunakan pakaian yang dapat memperpanjang masa pakai pakaian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some facts behind the booming clothing industry that always changes every season around the world, include the need for 20,000 liters of water to produce 1 kg of cotton as the main ingredient of fabric.
