Artikel penelitian dosen Departemen Kimia FMIPA UI, Dr. Munawar Khalil, berjudul \u201cUltrasensitive non-enzymatic electrochemical detection of paraoxon-ethyl in fruit samples using 2D Ti\u2083C\u2082T\u2093\/MWCNT-OH\u201d terpilih sebagai salah satu Most Popular 2025 Articles di jurnal Nanoscale terbitan Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Inggris. Informasi tersebut disampaikan langsung oleh RSC melalui surat elektronik pada 29 Januari 2026 kepada Dr. Munawar Khalil, dan juga dipublikasikan melalui laman serta media sosial resmi RSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koleksi Most Popular Articles menampilkan artikel-artikel yang paling banyak dibaca dan diunduh sepanjang 2025. Terpilihnya artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa penelitian FMIPA UI mendapat perhatian besar dari komunitas ilmiah internasional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Riset ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi lintas institusi antara FMIPA UI, Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), serta A*STAR Singapura. Kolaborasi tersebut memungkinkan pemanfaatan fasilitas riset modern dan pertukaran keahlian lintas negara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKolaborasi ini memperkaya perspektif riset dan membantu menjaga standar penelitian sejak perancangan eksperimen hingga publikasi di jurnal bereputasi,\u201d kata Khalil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Riset tersebut menawarkan solusi inovatif untuk mendukung keamanan pangan, khususnya pada produk hortikultura. Sensor yang dikembangkan mampu mendeteksi residu pestisida secara cepat, stabil, dan akurat, serta dirancang agar mudah digunakan dan berbiaya relatif terjangkau. Teknologi ini berpotensi diaplikasikan sebagai alat skrining langsung di pasar tradisional, pusat distribusi, maupun kegiatan pengawasan lapangan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPenelitian ini kami arahkan untuk menjawab kebutuhan nyata di lapangan, yaitu metode deteksi residu pestisida yang sensitif, stabil, dan tidak bergantung pada enzim,\u201d ujar Dr. Munawar Khalil. Menurut dia, pendekatan non-enzimatik membuat sensor lebih tahan terhadap perubahan suhu dan pH, sekaligus lebih ekonomis dibandingkan sensor berbasis enzim yang selama ini umum digunakan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penelitian tersebut merupakan bagian dari tesis mahasiswa Program Magister (S2) Departemen Kimia FMIPA UI, Asmi Aris. Riset ini berfokus pada pengembangan sensor elektrokimia berbasis material komposit dua dimensi MXene (Ti\u2083C\u2082T\u2093) dan Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT). Kombinasi kedua material ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan konduktivitas dan aktivitas elektroda, sehingga sensor dapat mendeteksi pestisida paraoxon-ethyl hingga batas sangat rendah, sekitar 10 nanomolar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asmi mengungkapkan bahwa proses penelitian tidak lepas dari tantangan teknis yang kompleks, terutama pada tahap sintesis material MXene. \u201cProses etching Ti\u2083C\u2082T\u2093 melibatkan bahan kimia berbahaya seperti HF, sehingga harus dilakukan dengan sangat hati-hati dan sesuai dengan regulasi keselamatan. Selain itu, waktu sintesis yang cukup panjang menuntut ketelitian dan konsistensi agar material yang dihasilkan benar-benar sesuai untuk aplikasi sensor,\u201d kata Asmi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tantangan lain muncul saat menentukan komposisi optimum nanokomposit Ti\u2083C\u2082T\u2093\/MWCNT-OH. Perbedaan karakteristik antara material dua dimensi dan satu dimensi memengaruhi luas permukaan, konduktivitas, serta gugus fungsional elektroda. \u201cKomposisinya harus disesuaikan secara spesifik dengan analit target, dalam hal ini paraoxon-ethyl, agar sensor memiliki sensitivitas dan selektivitas yang tinggi,\u201d ujar Asmi. Ia menambahkan, pada tahap pengujian sampel nyata seperti buah, kompleksitas matriks sampel juga menjadi tantangan tersendiri karena potensi interferensi senyawa lain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ke depan, tim peneliti berencana mengembangkan sensor ini agar semakin stabil dan efisien serta dapat diterapkan pada berbagai jenis sampel pangan. \u201cHarapannya, teknologi ini dapat digunakan langsung di lapangan dan berkontribusi nyata dalam sistem pengawasan keamanan pangan,\u201d ujar Asmi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capaian ini sekaligus menegaskan peran FMIPA UI sebagai institusi riset yang aktif berkontribusi di tingkat global, dengan penelitian yang tidak hanya unggul secara ilmiah, tetapi juga relevan bagi kebutuhan masyarakat.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Depok, 9 February 2026 \u2014 The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), has once again achieved global recognition through its research on the development of sensors for detecting pesticide residues in food.
