Soemantri Brodjonegoro, FMIPA UI, Depok, Rabu (11\/2\/2026). Acara ini menghadirkan Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hairy Ibrahim, Fellow SDGs di Research Management &amp; Innovation Centre, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia, sebagai pembicara utama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam kesempatan ini, Dr. Mohd Hairy membawakan tema \u201cGeographic Perspective: Climate Action and Resilient Challenges\u201d, menekankan pentingnya perspektif geografis dalam memahami perubahan iklim dan tantangan ketahanan di berbagai skala. Menurut Dr. Mohd Hairy, perspektif geografis adalah metode untuk menganalisis dunia dengan memeriksa hubungan spasial, pola, dan koneksi antara lingkungan manusia dan fisik. Pendekatan ini menekankan pertanyaan \u201cdi mana\u201d dan \u201cmengapa\u201d suatu fenomena terjadi, serta menghubungkan skala lokal, regional, dan global untuk memahami isu-isu kompleks seperti perubahan iklim, urbanisasi, dan difusi budaya. Perspektif geografis juga mencakup kesadaran spasial, interaksi manusia-lingkungan, analisis karakteristik regional, dan pemahaman bagaimana peristiwa pada satu skala dapat memengaruhi skala lain, sehingga mampu memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang dinamika sosial dan lingkungan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam konteks aksi iklim, Dr. Mohd Hairy menjelaskan bahwa geografi menawarkan cara unik untuk memandang dunia melalui lensa tempat, ruang, dan skala. Negara-negara yang paling banyak berkontribusi terhadap perubahan iklim seharusnya memimpin upaya menemukan solusi. Beberapa penyebab utama perubahan iklim yang ia soroti antara lain industrialisasi yang pesat, emisi gas rumah kaca, polusi berat, dan deforestasi. Lebih jauh, ia menekankan pentingnya tindakan kolektif berbasis data spasial untuk membangun ketahanan lingkungan serta menerapkan strategi keberlanjutan yang menyeimbangkan kebutuhan manusia dengan kelestarian alam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acara ini dihadiri oleh para mahasiswa, dosen, dan peneliti, yang kemudian mengikuti sesi diskusi interaktif mengenai tantangan dan solusi dalam aksi iklim.
