Pendekatan berbasis teknologi dan analisis data kini menjadi kunci dalam mengurangi risiko eksplorasi sekaligus meningkatkan keberhasilan identifikasi potensi hidrokarbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menjawab urgensi tersebut, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI) menyelenggarakan seminar mingguan bertajuk UI Geoscience Seminar x STARBORN MENGAJAR 2026 pada Senin, 20 April 2026. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Aula Prof. Dr. G.A. Siwabessy, Kampus UI, Depok, dan menghadirkan praktisi industri sebagai narasumber utama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seminar kali ini menghadirkan Mona Ausiana Rachmalia, S.T., M.T., yang merupakan Geochemistry Specialist sekaligus Lab Head Section di PT Geoservice. Dalam pemaparannya, ia membahas metode eksplorasi minyak dan gas berbasis geokimia, khususnya menggunakan pendekatan Amplified Geochemical Imaging (AGI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMetode AGI memberi cara baru yang lebih sensitif untuk mendeteksi potensi hidrokarbon sejak tahap awal eksplorasi,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Materi yang disampaikan mencakup prinsip microseepage, teknik passive sampling menggunakan adsorben, hingga proses analisis laboratorium berpresisi tinggi. \u201cMelalui pendekatan microseepage, kita bisa melihat jejak hidrokarbon yang sebelumnya sulit terdeteksi metode konvensional,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain itu, narasumber juga menjelaskan tahapan interpretasi data dengan berbagai metode statistik seperti PCA, HCA (clustering), LDA, dan CVA yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi hidrokarbon. \u201cKombinasi analisis statistik menjadi kunci agar data geokimia bisa diterjemahkan menjadi informasi yang benar-benar bernilai,\u201d tambahnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-571.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6744\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-571.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-571-300x198.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-571-18x12.jpeg 18w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-571-600x395.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tidak hanya berupa pemaparan, seminar berlangsung interaktif melalui sesi tanya jawab dan kuis singkat. Narasumber memberikan sejumlah pertanyaan kepada peserta terkait konsep microseepage dan alat sampler, serta memberikan hadiah bagi peserta yang mampu menjawab dengan tepat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam sesi lanjutan, Mona juga menyoroti perkembangan teknologi dalam bidang ini. \u201cPemanfaatan machine learning ke depan akan sangat membantu mempercepat dan mempertajam interpretasi data eksplorasi,\u201d ungkapnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diskusi yang berlangsung juga mengangkat berbagai pertanyaan kritis dari peserta, seperti interpretasi hasil clustering yang terbagi menjadi enam kelompok, kemungkinan adanya potensi hidrokarbon yang tidak terklasifikasikan namun tetap prospektif, hingga pemanfaatan machine learning dalam analisis data geokimia. Selain itu, dibahas pula alasan pemilihan durasi sampling sekitar 21 hari untuk memperoleh data yang stabil dan representatif, serta kualifikasi yang dibutuhkan dalam interpretasi data AGI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebagai penutup, narasumber menyampaikan harapannya agar kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan minat peserta terhadap bidang geokimia.
