Temuan tersebut disampaikan Afiatry Putrika dalam sidang promosi doktor Program Studi Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Indonesia (UI), Kamis (9\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afiatry mempertahankan disertasi berjudul&nbsp;<em>Studi Keanekaragaman dan Adaptasi Lumut Epifit pada Kawasan Urban Selatan Jakarta yang Berpotensi sebagai Indikator Kualitas Lingkungan<\/em>&nbsp;di Aula Gedung Laboratorium Riset Multidisiplin Pertamina FMIPA UI, Kampus UI Depok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa struktur komunitas, tingkat keanekaragaman, dan kemampuan adaptasi lumut epifit berkaitan erat dengan kondisi lingkungan perkotaan yang dipengaruhi polusi udara dan peningkatan suhu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLumut memang terlihat sederhana, tetapi keberadaannya dapat menjadi penanda kondisi lingkungan. Keanekaragaman lumut epifit dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memantau kualitas lingkungan di kawasan urban,\u201d kata Afiatry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penelitian dilakukan di berbagai ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) di wilayah selatan Jakarta dengan mengkaji hubungan struktur komunitas lumut epifit dengan faktor lingkungan, karakter adaptasi morfologi dan anatomi, serta respons molekuler melalui ekspresi gen&nbsp;<em>heat shock protein<\/em>&nbsp;70 (<em>hsp70<\/em>) terhadap cekaman suhu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-757.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7074\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-757.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-757-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-757-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-757-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut Afiatry, kajian mengenai lumut sebagai bioindikator kualitas lingkungan masih terbatas di Indonesia, terutama yang menghubungkan aspek keanekaragaman, faktor lingkungan, dan mekanisme adaptasinya secara terpadu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHarapannya, penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan biomonitoring kualitas lingkungan sekaligus mendukung pengelolaan ruang terbuka hijau yang lebih berkelanjutan di kawasan perkotaan,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disertasi tersebut disusun di bawah bimbingan Promotor Dra. Andi Salamah, M.Agr., Ph.D., serta Ko-promotor Dr. Dra. Dian Hendrayanti, M.Sc., dari Departemen Biologi FMIPA UI, dan Nurul Laksmi Winarni, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., dari Research Center for Climate Change Universitas Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam sidang promosi yang dipimpin Dekan FMIPA UI Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Si., Afiatry Putrika dinyatakan lulus dengan predikat&nbsp;<em>cum laude<\/em>. Ia menyelesaikan pendidikan doktor dalam delapan semester dengan IPK 3,88.
