Soemantri Brodjonegoro FMIPA UI tersebut diikuti lebih dari 60 dosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pelatihan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya FMIPA UI menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang adaptif, inklusif, dan responsif terhadap keberagaman karakteristik mahasiswa, termasuk dalam aspek komunikasi dan kesehatan mental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wakil Dekan Bidang Pendidikan, Penelitian, dan Kemahasiswaan FMIPA UI Prof. Anom Bowolaksono, Ph.D., mengatakan pemahaman terhadap karakteristik mahasiswa menjadi bagian penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efektif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDosen perlu memahami mahasiswa secara lebih utuh agar proses pembelajaran tidak hanya efektif secara akademik, tetapi juga membangun ruang belajar yang aman dan mendukung,\u201d ujar Prof. Anom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-901.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-901.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-901-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-901-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-901-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memasuki sesi utama, pelatihan dimoderatori oleh Nina Marliyani, M.Si., Konselor FMIPA UI, dengan menghadirkan Ika Malika, M.Psi., Psikolog, Koordinator Layanan Konseling Klinik Satelit Makara Universitas Indonesia, sebagai narasumber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ika membahas karakteristik mahasiswa Generasi Z yang tumbuh berdampingan dengan teknologi digital serta berada pada fase&nbsp;<em>emerging adulthood<\/em>. Pada fase tersebut, mahasiswa berada dalam masa eksplorasi identitas, pendidikan, karier, relasi, serta nilai-nilai kehidupan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut Ika, pemahaman terhadap karakteristik mahasiswa perlu menjadi dasar bagi dosen dalam menentukan pendekatan komunikasi dan pembelajaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGenerasi Z memiliki karakteristik dan kebutuhan yang berbeda. Karena itu, pendekatan dosen juga perlu menyesuaikan, tanpa berarti mengurangi standar akademik yang harus dicapai mahasiswa,\u201d ujar Ika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam konteks pembelajaran, dosen didorong menggunakan pendekatan yang relevan dan interaktif, antara lain melalui media visual, praktik langsung, proyek, serta pengaitan materi dengan penerapannya dalam kehidupan nyata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-902.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-902.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-902-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-902-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-902-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ika juga menekankan pentingnya komunikasi yang hangat, empatik, dan autentik dalam membangun interaksi dengan mahasiswa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYang dibutuhkan mahasiswa bukan sekadar dosen yang menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga figur yang dapat membangun komunikasi secara empatik dan autentik. Namun, tetap ada batas profesional yang perlu dijaga,\u201d katanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain karakteristik generasi, pelatihan membahas kesehatan mental mahasiswa sebagai salah satu aspek yang dapat memengaruhi proses pembelajaran. Dosen diajak memahami kondisi mahasiswa, termasuk mengenali tanda-tanda ketika mahasiswa membutuhkan dukungan lebih lanjut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut Ika, dosen tidak dituntut mengambil peran sebagai konselor, tetapi perlu memiliki kemampuan untuk mengenali kondisi mahasiswa dan menentukan langkah yang tepat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDosen bukan konselor, sehingga tidak perlu mengambil alih peran profesional. Yang penting adalah mampu mengenali tanda-tanda mahasiswa membutuhkan bantuan, memberikan dukungan awal sesuai batas peran, dan mengarahkannya kepada layanan yang tepat,\u201d ujar Ika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Materi juga mencakup Individu Berkebutuhan Khusus (IBK), mahasiswa penyandang disabilitas, dan mahasiswa neurodivergent. Peserta diperkenalkan pada kondisi seperti&nbsp;<em>Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder<\/em>&nbsp;(ADHD) dan spektrum autisme, termasuk tantangan sekaligus potensi yang dimiliki mahasiswa dengan keberagaman kondisi tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam menciptakan lingkungan akademik yang inklusif, dosen dapat memberikan dukungan akademik dan pembelajaran (<em>academic accommodations<\/em>) sesuai kebutuhan mahasiswa. Bentuk dukungan yang dibahas antara lain penyampaian instruksi secara tertulis, singkat, dan konkret; pemberian tenggat waktu yang jelas; pembagian tugas ke dalam beberapa tahapan; pemberian umpan balik secara bertahap; serta pengelolaan kelas dengan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan sensorik mahasiswa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nina mengatakan pembahasan mengenai mahasiswa lintas generasi dan keberagaman kondisi mahasiswa penting bagi dosen karena interaksi akademik tidak hanya berlangsung dalam konteks penyampaian materi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDosen berinteraksi langsung dengan mahasiswa setiap hari. Karena itu, semakin baik pemahaman dosen terhadap karakter dan kebutuhan mahasiswa, semakin tepat pula respons yang dapat diberikan dalam proses pembelajaran,\u201d ujar Nina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ia menambahkan, pemahaman tersebut bukan dimaksudkan untuk memberikan perlakuan yang sama kepada seluruh mahasiswa, melainkan memastikan setiap mahasiswa memperoleh dukungan yang sesuai agar dapat mengikuti proses pembelajaran secara optimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-903.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7309\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-903.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-903-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-903-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/chem.ui.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sci-903-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLingkungan belajar yang inklusif bukan berarti semua mahasiswa diperlakukan dengan cara yang sama, tetapi kebutuhan mereka dipahami dan difasilitasi secara tepat, dengan tetap menjaga standar akademik,\u201d imbuhnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam kerja kelompok, pembagian peran yang jelas juga dapat membantu mahasiswa memahami ekspektasi dan tanggung jawab masing-masing. Dosen juga perlu menjaga privasi mahasiswa serta memberikan dukungan emosional sesuai batas peran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apabila diperlukan, dosen dapat berkolaborasi dengan layanan konseling untuk memastikan mahasiswa memperoleh dukungan profesional yang sesuai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setelah pemaparan materi, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab dan diskusi interaktif. Para dosen berkesempatan menyampaikan pertanyaan, berbagi pengalaman, serta mendiskusikan berbagai situasi yang ditemui dalam berinteraksi dan mendampingi mahasiswa di lingkungan akademik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diskusi tersebut memberikan ruang bagi peserta untuk memahami penerapan pendekatan komunikasi dan pendampingan mahasiswa secara lebih praktis, sekaligus mendiskusikan upaya menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang inklusif dan adaptif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melalui Pelatihan Dosen FMIPA UI 2026, dosen memperoleh perspektif yang lebih luas mengenai karakteristik mahasiswa lintas generasi, kesehatan mental, serta keberagaman kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kegiatan ini diharapkan memperkuat kemampuan dosen dalam membangun komunikasi yang empatik, menciptakan suasana belajar yang aman dan inklusif, serta memberikan dukungan akademik yang adaptif tanpa mengesampingkan standar pendidikan.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Depok, August 28, 2026 \u2014 The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), strengthened faculty members\u2019 competencies in understanding the characteristics and needs of students through the 2026 FMIPA UI Faculty Training, themed&nbsp;\u201cStrengthening Faculty Competencies in Interacting with Multigenerational Students\u201d.The event, held on Thursday (August 20, 2026) at the Prof. Dr. Ir.
