Chemistry graduates from department of chemistry UI are nationally known as skillful individuals with strong fundamental background in chemistry and able to overcome today’s challenges. Our graduates have been contributed in almost every aspect in the development of science and technology such as in research, academics and industry.

Some of the main employers of chemistry graduates are in the chemical and related industries, such as: agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, energies (including oil and gas), plastics and polymers, fertilizers and petrochemicals, pulp and paper, food and beverages, fabrics and metallurgical sectors. Chemistry graduates from UI can also find employment opportunities at many different areas such as health and medical organizations, government institutions, or scientific research organizations such as BPPT, LIPI or BPOM. In addition, positions such as academic lecturers or teachers at school, colleges or universities, as well as consultants at environmental protection agencies are some the additional examples of career path for chemistry graduates.
