The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), secured 2nd place in the “Best Achievement in SMKK Implementation” category for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (K3L) units within Faculties, Schools, Vocational Education, and RSUI at the 2026 National K3 Month Commemoration.

The Best Campus Welfare Management System (SMKK) Award was organized by the Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia. The award ceremony was conducted by the Direktorat Kesejahteraan Kampus Universitas Indonesia on Tuesday, 12 February 2026, at the Makara Art Center, Universitas Indonesia Campus, Depok.

The evaluation was conducted through the completion of a SMKK self-assessment form covering various aspects, including Physical Health Management, Mental Health Management, Building Safety, Transportation Safety, Event Safety, Contractor Safety, Fire Prevention and Building Emergency Management, Environmental Management, Security Management, as well as the Reporting of Accidents and Near-Miss Incidents.

In the evaluation process, FMIPA UI was recognized for its excellence in the consistent implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), the completeness of documentation and reporting, the effectiveness of risk mitigation in both academic and non-academic activities, and the sustainability of programs aimed at enhancing campus community welfare. In addition, the integration of physical and mental health aspects within the K3L management system was assessed as systematic, measurable, and well-documented, making FMIPA UI deserving of 2nd place at the university level.

The award certificate was symbolically presented by the Dean of the Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia, Indri Hapsari Susilowati, to the representative of the FMIPA UI K3L team, Gatot Sugiyantoro.

The Dean of FMIPA UI, Tito Latif Indra, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the achievement. According to him, the management of K3L at FMIPA UI has been carried out in compliance with the regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) established by the Direktorat Kesejahteraan Kampus Universitas Indonesia.

“We are grateful for this achievement. The management of K3L at FMIPA UI has been carried out consistently in accordance with the applicable regulations and standard operating procedures,” said Tito Latif Indra.

He also reaffirmed the faculty leadership’s commitment to consistently involving the K3L team in every activity or event, both on and off campus, to provide assistance, supervision, and risk mitigation for each program carried out. This active involvement became one of the key factors considered in the evaluation process.

Furthermore, the Dean of FMIPA UI, Tito Latif Indra, expressed his hope that this achievement would serve as motivation to further enhance the quality of K3L implementation, particularly in strengthening the safety culture, optimizing the incident and near-miss reporting system, improving the competencies of K3L personnel through continuous training, and developing supporting facilities that are more responsive to the physical and mental health needs of the academic community.

“We consistently involve the K3L team in every activity to ensure that assistance and risk mitigation are carried out optimally. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen the safety culture and enhance the quality of K3L implementation at FMIPA UI,” he stated.

Several key factors that contributed to FMIPA UI’s excellence in this assessment include the provision of facilities and infrastructure that support the well-being of the campus community. These facilities include a health service room for students and staff, a dedicated K3L room equipped with a treatment ward, as well as the Student Counseling Board (BKM) room at FMIPA UI for mental health consultations, supported by professional counselors and faculty counselor-lecturers.

In addition, FMIPA UI is equipped with emergency response facilities and equipment that are ready for use in emergency situations, certified General Occupational Safety and Health (Ahli K3 Umum) officers, and the active involvement of the K3L team in every faculty activity and event to ensure that safety measures and risk mitigation are implemented optimally.

This achievement stands as clear evidence of FMIPA UI’s commitment to fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive campus environment, while promoting a sustainable culture of work and learning within Universitas Indonesia.
