Innalillahi wa innailaihi roji’un, Dra. Sahati Suharto, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) from 1984 to 1988, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 5:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) at her residence on Jl. Muara Rajen Baru, RT 01/RW 10, No. 24, Cihaurgeulis Village, Cibeunying Kaler District, Bandung, West Java.

Dra. Sahati Suharto passed away at the age of 88. Born in Jakarta on March 10, 1932, she was the sixth Dean of FMIPA UI and the second female Dean after Dra. Patimah Moewarni, M.Sc., Dean of FIPIA UI from 1974 to 1978, before FIPIA UI changed its name to FMIPA UI.

She also served as Head of the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FIPIA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) from 1975 to 1976, and from 1978 to 1984, before finally leading the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia. She served as Assistant Dean 1 of the Faculty from 1978 to 1984.

The entire Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) community at the University of Indonesia offers their deepest condolences on the passing of the deceased.
