Keisha Najwa, a student from the Biology Study Program (Prodi) class of 2022, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), achieved an achievement by winning second place in the IG Reels video competition held by UI, in order to celebrate its 74th Dies Natalis.
Through the 30-second video, the video has the theme “Let’s learn and grow up together” shows Keisha’s activeness as a FMIPA UI student in various impressive moments on the UI Campus. Starting from practicums, studying and discussing with fellow students, doing community service activities, to visiting the UI library. In the video, she also expressed her pride in being part of the FMIPA UI Biology Department.

To the FMIPA UI Public Relations team, Keisha also said that she edited her own IG reels videos. She admitted that she was happy and quite active in sharing her activities through social media. Because for Keisha, collecting memorable stories through social media like now, needs to be done as memories in the future.
“Because we are not getting any younger. So, while we still have this day, make sure that it is a day to remember,” said Keisha.
The assessment aspects determined by the jury in this competition include the number of like, image transitions, creativity, originality of ideas and never having been competed before, and shooting.
Dean of FMIPA UI Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D. expressed his appreciation to his students. He hopes that in the future there will be more FMIPA UI students who are motivated to develop their talents other than in academics, as additional skills as well as personality development.
“Hopefully this will be a motivation for other students at FMIPA UI, to continue to develop their talents not only in academics, but also in non-academics. This is important to increase skills and develop personality,” said Prof. Dede.
Moreover, in the era of digital society development like today, according to him, students are required to be able to think more critically and creatively. Students, said the Dean, must be alert in taking advantage of existing opportunities.
“The digitalization era like today is a golden age for students to be creative. They can freely create by utilizing study time and technology as best as possible, so they can achieve opportunities to increase their capacity,” he said.
For her achievements, Keisha received a symbolic award at the peak of UI’s 74th Dies Natalis celebration, which was held at Balairung, UI Campus, Depok, on Wednesday (21/2/2024) along with the winners of various other competitions.

In the event, UI also gave awards to Faculties, Schools, Vocational Education Programs, units within UI, to UI academics and residents who contributed to efforts to achieve the goal of Indonesia Lestari. This is in line with the theme of UI’s 74th anniversary, namely “Continuously Building Indonesia Lestari”.
