The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), Dede Djuhana, Ph. D. has appointed the Heads of Departments and Undergraduate Study Programs (Prodi) of Geology and Geophysics for the 2022-2024 period. The decision was officially made on February 18, 2022.
This is in connection with the formation of a whole new leadership team at the Faculty level for the 2021-2025 period, and the end of the terms of office of the Head of Department and Head of the Undergraduate Study Programs of Geology and Geophysics for the previous period at the end of last January.
Dede Djuhana, Ph. D. said that the appointment of his staff at the department level had been made through various considerations, one of which was the results of interviews conducted by the leadership with the candidates.
“Of all the Kadep (Head of Department), including the Head of the Geoscience Study Program (S1 Geology, and S2 Geophysics), not all of them are new people, there are some who are still continuing their positions, but their SKs have been renewed,” said Dede Djuhana, Ph. D.
The departmental leaders who continue their positions are Dr. Djati Handoko (Department of Physics), Dr. Drs. Supriatna, M.T. (Department of Geography), and the Head of the Undergraduate Geology and Undergraduate Geophysics Study Programs Dr. Eng. Supriyanto, M.Sc.
Meanwhile, the new leader is Prof. Alhadi Bustamam, M. Kom., Ph.D., Head of the Mathematics Department, replacing Dr. Dian Lestari, DEA. Previously, Prof. Alhadi served as Head of the Master’s Program in Mathematics.
Furthermore, Anom Bowolaksono, Ph. D. was appointed as Head of the Department of Biology, replacing Dr. rer. nat. Yasman. In addition, Asep Saefumillah, M. Si., Ph. D. was entrusted with the duties as Head of the Department of Chemistry, replacing Dr. rer. nat. Budiawan, who is now part of the leadership of FMIPA UI as Deputy Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs.
As Dean, Dede expressed his gratitude to the previous department heads for their dedication and service to FMIPA UI during their tenure as Department Heads. He also expressed his hope that his new staff would realize the vision and mission and collaborate to improve its performance.
