The assessor team from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) of the Ministry of Education, Research, Technology, and Higher Education visited the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) this morning, Monday (July 2nd). During the visit, the BAN-PT assessor team, represented by Prof. Dr. Taslim Ersam, MS (ITS), and Prof. Dr. Bambang Rusdiarso (UGM), assessed the Master’s Program in Chemistry.
The assessor team was warmly welcomed by Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris and his staff, Dr. rer. nat. Budiawan, Head of the Chemistry Department, and Dr. Asep Saefumillah, Head of the Master’s Program in Chemistry.
In his brief remarks, the Dean of FMIPA UI stated, “This visitation is an added encouragement for study program managers, particularly the Master’s Program in Chemistry, to improve governance and performance.” He said.
He believes that by creating good governance, performance, and synergy between study program management units, BAN-PT standards can be optimally met. He also hopes that the Master’s Program in Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, can maintain its “A” grade.
