The Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, through the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, is once again holding the National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad for Higher Education Institutions (ON MIPA-PT) this year.
To participate in the second phase (regional phase) of the 2019 ON MIPA-PT, which is being held today (March 26) through tomorrow (March 27) at Pancasila University in South Jakarta, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) is sending 23 of its students as part of the UI contingent, along with 4 students from the Faculty of Medicine and 1 student from the Faculty of Engineering. Thus, the total UI contingent consists of 28 students, with 7 students each in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
As a form of support for all contingents, yesterday (25/3) FMIPA UI as the faculty appointed as coordinator of all faculties within UI held a launch and briefing for all contingents.
The briefing and support were delivered directly by Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris as Dean, Dr. Techn. Djoko Triyono as Vice Dean for Field I of FMIPA UI, and Dr. Ing. Mohammad Adhitya as Head of Sub-Directorate of Reasoning Activities UI.
Previously, the UI contingent had gone through Phase I, namely the UI level selection process which was held on February 15 and 19, 2019 at FMIPA UI with a total of 143 participants.
