Today, the Physics and Biology Undergraduate Study Programs at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) underwent an AUN-QA visit.

After the undergraduate mathematics study program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) successfully passed the assessment process by the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) team at the 110th AUN-QA in April 2018, today, Tuesday (10/30), the undergraduate physics and biology study programs received a visit from the AUN-QA team at the 124th AUN-QA. The visit lasted until Thursday (11/1), in the Chevron Room and the Indosat Room of the Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Office building, UI campus, Depok.

The ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) team, consisting of Prof. Wan Ahmad Kamil Mahmood, PhD (Universiti Sains Malaysia), and Dr. Amelia P. Guevara (Former professor at the University of the Philippines), acted as assessors for the undergraduate physics study program, while Prof. Dr. Suzeini Binti Abd Halim (Quality Management & Enhancement Centre (QMEC) University of Malaya), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Warin Krityakiarana (Mahidol University) acted as the assessor team for the biology undergraduate study program.

They do assessment on the two study programs through a series of interviews with the interviewee They included lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, and users of FMIPA UI. They also conducted direct observations by visiting FMIPA UI.

Previously, FMIPA UI has submitted Self-Assessment Report (SAR) to AUN-QA to improve the quality of study programs in accordance with international standards. Furthermore, the team assessor from AUN members from other ASEAN countries conducted visits to faculties and study programs to provide input on self assessment that has been done.
