The series of events for the 2020 UI Mathematics Competition and Activities (LOGIKA) officially ended on Sunday, January 19, 2020.
The award ceremony for the winners, which was also attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FMIPA UI, Dr. techn. Djoko Triyono, was held at the FMIPA UI Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building at 7:00 PM WIB.
At the event which also served as the closing of the series of LOGIKA UI 2020 activities, the participants who won the championships in the competitions held at LOGIKA UI 2020 were also announced.
This year there are five competition categories presented, two of which are the Paper Competition and the Statistical Team Competition (STC) specifically for students, while the Mathematical Individual Competition (MIC) and Mathematical Team Competition (MTC) are intended for high school students and equivalent, there is also a new category this year, namely the Actuarial Infographic Competition (AIC) which is open to the general public aged 17-22 years.
Two teams of FMIPA UI students successfully won first place in two categories, namely the Paper Competition and Statistical Team Competition (STC).
Martinus Julius, Edbert Theda, and Bella Belinda (FMIPA UI 2016) won first place in the Paper Competition, along with the best poster award. Martinus and his team beat out 42 other teams in this category, followed by Bimo Noufal Pratama, who won best presenter.
Meanwhile, in the Statistical Team Competition (STC) category, the Maranatha F. W. & Rio Fandi Dianco team (FMIPA UI 2016) managed to emerge as the 1st winner, beating 123 other teams in the preliminary round.
Not only that, another team from FMIPA UI, namely Fernando Namora & Rilo Chandra, also contributed the 3rd place title for the Statistical Team Competition (STC) category, as well as the team of Bimo Noufal Pratama, Fatia Marwa, and Rivan Pratama Yuda, adding to the long list of championship titles won by the FMIPA UI contingent, by winning 3rd place in the Paper Competition category.
