FMIPA UI Collaborates with FPSB Indonesia to Hold a Financial Planning and Technology Workshop as an Educational Platform in the World of Financial Planning

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), through its Special Task Force and the Mathematics Department, in collaboration with the Professional Certification Institute, the Financial Planning Standards Board Indonesia (FPSB Indonesia), held a Financial Planning and Technology Workshop on Tuesday (January 15th) at the FMIPA UI Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building – Pertamina, on the UI Depok Campus. Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris, Dean of FMIPA UI, officially opened the event.

The workshop, themed “How Digital Technology Embraces the Future of Financial Planning,” is part of FMIPA UI’s 58th Anniversary celebrations. It also serves as a form of community service for FMIPA UI, involving lecturers at the University of Indonesia, FMIPA UI students, the media, and the general public.

Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris stated that through this workshop, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Indonesia (UI), closely associated with actuarial science, is contributing to and supporting the Financial Services Authority (OJK)’s efforts to improve financial literacy among the Indonesian public, in order to prevent them from being exposed to harmful financial products.

Present as speakers were, Tri Djoko Santoso, CFP (Founder of FPSB Indonesia, Alumni of FMIPA UI), Henra Sensei, CFP (CFP Ambasador), Hokiman Kurniawan (Co-Founder & CEO bahasa.ai, Alumni of FMIPA UI), and Ferry Chandra, CFP (Co-Founder Jarvis Incubator), Abdul Choliq, QWP (Co-Founder & CTO MyIFPE, Alumni FMIPA UI), Yenti Wang, CFP (Founder & CEO Finaintel), dan Gembong Suwito, CFP (Head of Social & Education PT. Panin Asset Management).

The speakers will discuss how technology can influence the world of financial planning and how it can make financial planning easier to understand and practice.

The event is divided into two sessions: a seminar on financial planning and a workshop on financial planning using MyIFPE.

Financial planning is a compelling topic in modern life, especially for millennials who must manage their finances. Furthermore, technology continues to advance in all fields, including financial planning.

The emergence of technology, which some consider disruptive, while others view it as a beneficial and potentially beneficial opportunity to enhance knowledge about financial planning, is an interesting topic to discuss.
