On Tuesday (11/12), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Indonesia (UI) agreed to a collaboration in medical physics with Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital (RSUPN) through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement by Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris, Dean of FMIPA UI, and Dr. Lies Dina Liastuti, President Director of RSCM, in the meeting room of the ERJT building at RSCM.
The Dean of FMIPA UI explained that this collaboration represents FMIPA UI’s contribution to the development of medical physics science in Indonesia, with several planned programs scheduled for 2019.
These programs include the Medical Physicist Professional Program, the Medical Physicist Residency Program specializing in Radiotherapy, the IAEA Regional Training Course RAS6088, and FMIPA UI Student Research in the Department of Neurology at RSCM.

Supriyanto Ardjo Pawiro, Ph.D., stated that this is not the first time that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), has collaborated with RSCM. For example, in 2016, Supriyanto continued, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences collaborated with RSCM through several collaborative programs, including the Pilot Medical Physicist Professional Program, the Pilot Specialist Residency Program – ROMP Program IAEA RAS6077, Student Research, and the Medical Physicist Professional Program.
Through this collaboration, he said, FMIPA UI also involved several RSCM staff as lecturers for the professional program, matriculation instructors for the professional program, and examiners for the professional and specialist programs.
