On Thursday (2/02/2017), the 2016/2017 PTA Semester graduation ceremony was held in Building B, Room 101, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI). At the event, 216 FMIPA UI students graduated. These included 78 regular undergraduate graduates, 34 parallel undergraduate graduates, 102 master’s graduates, and 2 doctoral graduates.
The ceremony, which was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris, was attended by the Faculty’s Board of Professors, the Faculty’s Academic Senate, managers, the Academic Quality Assurance Unit Coordinator, Department Heads, Study Program Heads, and Teaching Staff within FMIPA UI.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI), Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris, expressed his hope that all FMIPA UI graduates would continue to develop their scientific competencies, enabling them to solve various scientific and technological problems based on their research methodologies and scientific concepts. This is because the advancement of global science and technology requires experts who can conduct research to develop knowledge and address future challenges.
The graduation ceremony was then followed by the inauguration of graduates from each study program by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UI, and the presentation of awards to the best graduates of the Faculty. The best graduates of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UI, during this period were predominantly female. These top graduates are:
