Two UI FMIPA Research Lecturers Enter Top 2% of Influential Scientists in the World

Another extraordinary achievement was made by the academic community of FMIPA UI in the international arena. Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Rosari Saleh, a research lecturer and Professor of Physics, and Dr. Dipo Aldila, M. Si., a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA UI, are included in the list of World’s Top 2% Ranking Scientists 2021 from ASEAN Country.

It was officially released by Stanford University, and Elsevier Report on October 20, 2021 based on data processed and released by researchers from Stanford University, Prof. John Ioannidis with Jeroen Baas and Kevin Boyack. This data is updated annually.

The ranking list features more than 100,000 of the world’s most influential scientists, 58 of whom are from Indonesia. The ranking is reviewed based on several parameters, including the number of publications cited by other researchers, the number of citations, h-index, hm-index adjusted for co-authorship and citation of papers in different writing positions.

Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FMIPA UI Prof. Dr. Techn. Djoko Triyono expressed his appreciation for both of them.

To the FMIPA UI public relations team, he said that the achievement of its academic community in the Top 2% World Ranking Scientist 2021 was proof that the quality of the publications of the FMIPA UI academic community had received international recognition with many researchers around the world citing their publications.

This achievement, continued Prof. Djoko, is also expected to inspire and spur the enthusiasm of other research lecturers at FMIPA UI.

“The inclusion of the FMIPA UI community in the Top 2% World Ranking Scientist 2021 list proves that we have gained international recognition and reputation, with many publications by our community/researchers being cited by other researchers from all over the world,” said Prof. Djoko.

Manager of Research and Community Service of FMIPA UI, Prof. Ivandini Tribidasari A. explained the publications that had been carried out by the two FMIPA UI research lecturers in Scopus in the period 2020-2021.

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Rosari Saleh with h-index 18, total scientific works of more than 180 titles including around 60 articles in reputable international journals, 3 reviews, and around 120 conference papers. The number of citations reaches more than 1500. The Physics expert in the field of Condensed Matter Physics/Solid State Physics is currently actively developing research on Nano Particle/Nano Crystalline Metal Oxide for Energy, Health and Environmental Application including photocatalytic , environmental sensor, etc.

Meanwhile, Dr. Dipo Aldila, M.Si., at his relatively young age, he managed to achieve an h-index of 12, a total of 91 scientific works including 31 articles and 60 conference papers. The number of citations is 460 citations since 2012. The research he is currently conducting is a mathematical model approach in understanding the complexity of the spread of endemic diseases in Indonesia such as dengue fever, to diseases that are currently hot in the world such as COVID-19.
