Depok, February 22, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) graduated 277 graduates in the University of Indonesia Graduation Ceremony for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The event was held on Saturday (22/2) at the Balairung, UI Campus, Depok.
Of the total FMIPA UI graduates, 168 graduates came from undergraduate programs, 93 from master’s programs, and 16 from doctoral programs. The undergraduate program graduation was held in the morning session together with the vocational program, while the postgraduate program graduation was held in the afternoon session together with the professional and specialist programs.
The graduation ceremony was led directly by UI Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU. On that occasion, UI also announced the best graduates from various levels in each faculty, vocational program, and postgraduate school.
A total of 11 students from FMIPA UI won the title of best graduates at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels.
In the undergraduate program, the best graduate title was achieved by Peter Alexander Wandojo, S.Aktr. from the Actuarial Science Study Program with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.99 and cum laude predicate.
From the master’s program, the best graduates were Iffatricia Haura Febiriana, M.Sc. (Master of Mathematics), Danu Julian Cahyadi, M.Sc. (Master of Mathematics), Rinaldi, M.Sc. (Master of Mathematics), Shadira Anindieta Irdianto, M.Sc. (Master of Biology), Phahul Zhemas Zul Nehan, M.Sc. (Master of Materials Science), Okvarahireka Vitayaya, M.Sc. (Master of Materials Science), Sartika Salaswati, M.Sc. (Master of Physics), and Muhammad Fahmi Fauzi, M.Sc. (Master of Physics). All of them obtained a GPA of 4.00 with Summa Cum Laude predicate.
Meanwhile, in the doctoral program, the best graduate predicate was achieved by Dr. Maulana Putra (Physics Doctorate) and Dr. Tri Istiana (Physics Doctorate). Both also obtained a GPA of 4.00 with the predicate Summa Cum Laude.
Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., said that this graduation moment is an important step for graduates in continuing their journey, both in the academic and professional world.
He advised that the knowledge that has been obtained can be a valuable provision to provide real contributions to society, the nation, and the world. “To all graduates of FMIPA UI that we are proud of, become scientists, researchers, professionals, and academics who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have integrity and social concern,” he said.
Prof. Dede also emphasized that the world is currently facing various challenges, ranging from technological developments to environmental and health issues. Therefore, he reminded graduates to always be ready to face these challenges with innovation and science-based solutions.
“We believe that FMIPA UI graduates have the capacity to answer these challenges through innovation and solutions based on science,” he added.
