Dean of FMIPA UI: The Inauguration of Officials Is a Mandate to Advance the Faculty Further

The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Si., inaugurated and administered the oath of office to 37 newly appointed officials for the 2026–2027 term on Friday (January 30, 2026), at R Hotel Rancamaya, Bogor. The event was part of a series of activities under the Socialization of Duties, Governance, Integrity Zone, and Leadership Capacity Strengthening of FMIPA UI for the 2026–2029 period. The inauguration covered positions including heads of units, managers, assistant managers, heads of departments, and heads of study programs from both academic and non-academic sectors.

The inauguration was conducted as part of efforts to strengthen faculty governance in support of improving academic performance, research, and support services at FMIPA UI.

In his remarks, Prof. Tito emphasized that the inauguration of officials is not merely an administrative process, but a mandate and a major responsibility in driving the faculty organization forward.

“This inauguration represents the institution’s trust. Each appointed official holds a strategic role in ensuring that FMIPA UI continues to grow, remains adaptive to change, and is able to generate tangible impacts for both the academic community and society,” said Prof. Tito.

He also emphasized that the change in positions serves as a momentum to strengthen shared commitment in carrying out institutional duties and functions.

“This inauguration is not merely a change of positions, but a mandate to lead FMIPA UI forward. We are required to work professionally, with integrity, and with a clear orientation toward creating tangible impacts for the academic community and society,” he said.

According to Prof. Tito, future challenges in higher education require cross-unit collaboration as well as leadership that is open to innovation.

“I hope that all appointed officials can build strong collaboration, support one another, and have the courage to pursue breakthroughs. FMIPA UI must continue to be a leading faculty that contributes to the advancement of science and the resolution of national challenges,” he said.

At the manager and head-of-unit level, the appointed officials included the Head of the FMIPA UI Secretariat, Dra. Astrid Damayanti, M.Si., along with the Deputy Head of Secretariat I and Procurement Officer, Fakhrur Rizqi, S.Sos., as well as the Deputy Head of Secretariat II for Legal Affairs and Archiving, Stanislaus Suharwanta, S.H., CTA. In addition, Januar Widakdo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. was appointed as Head of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit (UPMA).

Meanwhile, the appointed managerial positions included the Manager of Education, Dr. Fevi Novkaniza, S.Si., M.Si.; the Manager of Research Ecosystem and Impactful Science Downstreaming, Zico Alaia Akbar Junior, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.; the Manager of General Affairs, Facilities, and Welfare, Mohammad Hidayat, S.Sos.; the Manager of Finance, Accounting, and Budgeting, Evi Nurvianti, A.Md.; and the Manager of Human Resources, Dr. Budhy Kurniawan R., M.Si.

In addition, the Dean of FMIPA UI also inaugurated a group of assistant managers to support the implementation of managerial functions across various fields. The appointed officials included the Assistant Manager for Student Achievement Development and Student Ecosystem, Dr. Yulia Mariana Tesa Ayudia Putri, S.Si., M.Si.; the Assistant Manager for Student Welfare Services, Mochamad Ramlih; the Assistant Manager for Curriculum and International Classes, Asri Oktavioni Indraswari, S.T., M.Sc.; the Assistant Manager for Partnership Development, Asset Commercialization, and Integrated Area Development, Octria Adi Prasojo, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.; and the Assistant Manager for Credit Score Assessment, Caya Mikail, A.Md.

The inauguration also included the appointment of Heads of Departments within FMIPA UI, namely the Head of the Department of Mathematics, Sarini Abdullah, S.Si., M.Stats., Ph.D.; the Head of the Department of Physics, Adhi Harmoko Saputro, S.Si., M.Kom., Ph.D.; the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Munawar Khalil, S.Si., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D.; the Head of the Department of Biology, Dr. Windri Handayani, S.Si., M.Si.; and the Head of the Department of Geography, Dr. Hafid Setiadi, S.Si., M.T.

Meanwhile, the inaugurated Heads of Study Programs covered all levels of education within FMIPA UI. The appointed officials included the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, Rahmi Rusin, S.Si., M.Sc.Tech., Ph.D.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Statistics, Dr. Helen Burhan, S.Si., M.Si.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Actuarial Science, Maulana Malik, M.Si., Ph.D.; the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Mathematics, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Hendri Murfi, S.Si., M.Kom.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Physics, Dr. Adam Badra Cahaya, B.Sc., M.Sc.; the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Physical Sciences, Dr. Djati Handoko, S.Si., M.Si.; and the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Materials Science, Ferry Anggoro Ardy Nugroho, B.Eng., M.Sc., Ph.D.

In addition, the following Heads of Study Programs were inaugurated: the Head of the Master’s Program in Medical Physics, Dr. sc.hum. Dwi Seno Kuncoro Sihono, S.Si., M.Si.; the Head of the Medical Physics Professional Program, Dr. Akbar Azzi, S.Si., F.Med., M.Si.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Chemistry, Iman Abdullah, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.; the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Chemistry, Bayu Ardiansah, S.Si., M.Si., D.Sc.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Biology, Niarsi Merry Hemelda, M.Si., Ph.D.; the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Biology, Dr. Dimas Haryo Pradana, S.Si., M.Si.; the Head of the Master’s Program in Marine Science, Dr. rer. nat. Yasman, M.Sc.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Geography, Iqbal Putut Ash Shidiq, S.Si., M.Sc.; the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Geographical Sciences, Dr. Eng. Masita Dwi Mandini Manessa, S.Si., M.Si., M.Eng.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Geophysics, Dr. Eng. Supriyanto, M.Sc.; and the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Geology, Dr. Reza Syahputra, S.T., M.Si.

To all appointed officials, Prof. Tito once again emphasized the importance of integrity and a service-oriented mindset.

“I hope that all members can work synergistically, remain open to innovation, and make academic and non-academic services a top priority. FMIPA UI must be a safe, productive, and high-achieving home for its entire academic community,” he said.

The event was also attended by Adi Wibowo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Chair of the FMIPA UI Academic Senate; Prof. Anom Bowolaksono, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Ivandini Tribidasari Anggraningrum, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration.
