In order to obtain a Doctoral degree in the Materials Science Study Program for Tjong Po Djun, FMIPA UI held an open Doctoral Promotion session today, Friday, April 24, 2015. The event was held in Building C FMIPA UI with the dissertation title “Viskositas Materi Quark Gluon Plasma”.

The purpose of this study is to develop a viscosity formula or viscosity distribution found in quark-gluon plasma, and is based on plasma materials that are increasingly playing an important role in the industrial world. Some of the most common uses of plasma materials include as materials etching pada proses produksi semikonduktor, sebagai impurity doping pada proses modifikasi material, dan sebagai bahan pengurai limbah kimia yang sangat efektif dan murah.

This session was chaired by the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr. rer. Nat. Abdul Haris, acting as promoter, Prof. Dr. Terry Mart and co-promoter Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko. Also present were members of the examination team, including Dr. Bambang Soegijono, Dr. rer. nat. Agus Salam, Dr. Albertus Sulaiman, and Dr. Handhika S. Ramadhan.

The dissertation results were presented very well so that they received a graduation certificate. Cum LaudeThus Dr. Tjong Po Djun became the 121st Doctor at FMIPA UI and became the 57th Doctor in the Materials Science Study Program FMIPA UI.
