Research Interest
My research interest is to discover bioactive compounds from Indonesian natural products. Some of these natural products candidates will be further isolated to potentially discover lead compounds. Then, the isolated compounds will be elucidated by spectroscopy data and tested for their bioactivities both in vitro and in vivo assay. Moreover, some of the promising lead compounds will be conducted for synthetic modifications to improve their activity and also to study the structure-activity relationships. In the other hands, I also have interest in organic synthesis especially for natural products compounds.
Short Biography

I was born in Bandung on October 27, 1990. I have graduated both my Master and Bachelor degree specialized on Natural Product Chemistry from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
I have some experiences related on drugs discovery from natural products. I had been working on some Indonesian plants, for instance Sesbania sesban, Sunflower (Helianthus annuus), Agathis species, Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum), and Curcuma species, with some biological targets on antimalarial, anticancer, anti-Alzheimer’s, and antibacterial. I had the opportunity to enhance some hands-on experience in vitro to culture Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 strain and cancer cells. Moreover, I also had been developed strong isolation skills by carrying out extraction and various chromatographic techniques and also elucidation the structure of compounds by using various spectroscopy data. During my Master Degree, I had also valuable opportunity to conduct part of my research at Meiji Pharmaceutical University, Tokyo, Japan. All these experiences had built my passion for doing further experience in natural products drug discovery, either isolation or synthesis.
