Since 2015, PAF MIPA UI has committed to obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate. This commitment of FMIPA UI is in line with the 2014-2019 UI Strategic Plan which targets existing units within the UI environment to implement the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The target in this UI Strategic Plan is translated into the 2015-2016 FMIPA UI Strategic Plan in the Main Performance Indicator, namely the realization of an ISO-based quality culture in FMIPA UI.
In an effort to achieve these performance indicators, Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris as Dean of FMIPA UI, formed a team to obtain ISO 9001 quality management system certification in 2016. He hopes that the achievement of ISO 9001:2015 certification by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Administration Center of UI can improve the quality management system in FMIPA UI continuously and sustainably.
To achieve ISO 9001:2015 is done with full struggle, it requires commitment and hard work from each team and unit involved. The series of ISO 9001:2015 activities began in April 2016 with the ISO 9001:2015Awarenessactivity , this activity is the beginning of a whole series of activities aimed at introducing and uniting the team’s understanding of ISO 9001:2015. Then the Standard Operating Procedures (POB) were prepared for each unit in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Administration Center, UI. This activity took place from April to July 2016. The POB was ratified and implemented in July to September 2016, after the POB was ratified, Internal Quality Audit Training was conducted on September 8, 2016. This was done to test whether all POBs made were in accordance with their implementation in daily work or not, so that if there is a discrepancy, it can still be corrected before an Audit by an External Certification Body is carried out. Then on September 22 2016 a Management Review Meeting was held, this activity was to ensure the readiness of the entire team regarding readiness for the external audit. And the final stage of the entire series of activities is the Audit by the External Certification Body on 18 and 25 November 2016.
The handover of the ISO 9001:2015 certificate was also carried out to coincide with the 56th Anniversary of FMIPA UI, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Building B FMIPA UI. The certificate was handed over by Mr. Markus Dihanto as Auditor from PT. DQS Certification Indonesia to the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris.
