The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), once again participated in the international-scale education exhibition Indonesia International Education and Training Expo (IIETE), held on 12–15 February 2026 at Hall A of the Jakarta International Convention Center, Senayan, Jakarta.
At this event, FMIPA UI took the opportunity to share the latest information on its academic programs, university admission pathways, scholarship schemes, academic excellence, career prospects for graduates, and an overview of campus life with prospective students and their parents.
This year’s participation became even more significant following the launch of the International Class Program (KI) by FMIPA UI at the end of 2025. The program is now offered in the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Study Programs.
The Assistant Manager for Curriculum and International Class at FMIPA UI, Asri Oktavioni Indraswari, S.T., M.Sc., who was directly involved in the exhibition, explained that the International Class Program was designed to provide a globally standardized learning experience.

One of its key advantages is the opportunity for graduates to obtain permission to reside and work in Australia after completing their studies, in accordance with the regulations applicable in that country. In addition, students also have the opportunity to participate in student exchange programs, short courses, summer programs, and research activities abroad.
“This program also opens up broader international networking opportunities, both with students and lecturers from various countries, enabling students to gain stronger academic experience and a more global perspective,” Asri said.
Indonesia International Education and Training Expo (IIETE) is the largest and most comprehensive higher education exhibition in Indonesia, held annually since 1992. Each year, the exhibition features leading universities from both Indonesia and abroad, attracting an average of around 25,000 visitors over the four-day event.

At Indonesia International Education and Training Expo 2026, the organizers presented more than 40 seminars from universities both domestic and international, featured participation from over 65 educational institutions, and provided free education consultation services as well as complimentary interest and major selection tests for visitors.
During the four-day event, approximately 6,500 visitors stopped by the booth of Universitas Indonesia. The majority were senior high school students, followed by parents and prospective postgraduate students. FMIPA UI itself was estimated to receive around 100 visitors per day who sought further information about its study programs and the international opportunities offered.

Participation in Indonesia International Education and Training Expo 2026 was part of FMIPA UI’s strategic efforts to bring higher education information closer to the wider community. Through this event, FMIPA UI not only introduced its programs and various strengths, but also built open communication with prospective students and their parents.
The participation also reflected FMIPA UI’s commitment to strengthening public trust in the quality of education it offers. By delivering information directly and transparently, the faculty hopes to attract the best prospective students—those with strong academic potential, integrity, and readiness to grow into competent professionals capable of competing at the international level.
