Today, Thursday (25/08/2016), at Building B Room 101 FMIPA UI held the Inauguration and Graduation Ceremony for the ATA 2015/2016 Semester Graduates. In the event, 439 FMIPA UI students graduated.
The ceremony, which was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris, was attended by the Faculty’s Board of Professors, the Faculty’s Academic Senate, managers, the Academic Quality Assurance Unit Coordinator, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, and Teaching Staff in FMIPA UI. Also present were Rina Elvi Rosa, S.Si., FSAI, an alumni of FMIPA UI from the Mathematics Study Program class of 1995 and currently serves as the Operational Director of Takaful Keluarga Sharia Insurance.
Prof. Dr. Terry Mart, as the Chairman of the Board of Professors of FMIPA UI, in his speech motivated the new graduates of FMIPA UI to believe in themselves, develop themselves so that they are ready and do not need to be afraid in facing competition in the industrial world and answering challenges to the nation’s problems.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris in his speech, expressed his hope to the graduates to continue their education to a higher level, continue to innovate in developing science amidst the current of globalization so that the world of science and Indonesian scientists gain recognition in the eyes of the world. Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris added that with the increasing number of FMIPA UI alumni, FMIPA UI can play a role in providing human resources, research, and community service. so that FMIPA UI graduates can contribute and make real changes.
The graduation procession was then continued with the inauguration by the Dean of FMIPA UI to the representatives of graduates from each Study Program at FMIPA UI, and the awarding of awards to the best graduates of FMIPA UI. They are:
